Weston's 78th Season to Conclude with UNCLE VANYA, 8/28-9/6

Best-known for his roles in The Amazing Spider-Man, Royal Pains and The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Campbell Scott takes to the Weston Playhouse stage for Anton Chekhov's wistful comedy, Uncle Vanya. Scott is playing the role of Astrov, the forlorn visionary philosopher in this timeless play in which tempers flare and passions are ignited when an aging professor returns with his beautiful young wife to his family's country estate. In an interesting spin, the Weston production is set in contemporary Vermont. This last show of the season is sponsored by the Vermont Country Store and has a limited engagement, August 28 - September 6. (more...)

Producers Guild Announces New Presidents: Gary Lucchesi and Lori McCreary

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today its 2014 National Board and officer election results, which were shared during the Guild's annual General Membership Meeting tonight on the Warner Bros. Studios lot. The Producers Guild elected Gary Lucchesi and Lori McCreary as Presidents. Other newly PGA national officers include: Vice Presidents of Motion PicturesDavid Friendly and Lydia Dean Pilcher; Vice Presidents of Television Tim Gibbons and Jason Katims; Treasurer Christina Lee Storm,and Vice President PGA East Region Peter Saraf. Outgoing PGA Presidents Mark Gordon and Hawk Koch, who served since 2010, received special recognition at the meeting for their unwavering service to the Producers Guild over the years, including their seminal advocacy on behalf of the Guild's credit certification, the Producers Mark. Created by, written by and starring Matt Lovkis, directed by Henry Inglis and produced by Lauren Elliott, the series follows the misadventures of Gavin Tanner, a West Coast Eagles-loving, weed-dealing big mouth who is utterly convinced he's the biggest legend in Balladeen. This year, the theater has had the opportunity to present two productions indoors. Its March show is Julius Caesar and will open tonight, March 6th for a three week run until March 23rd. Syfy Orders 26 New Episodes of HAVEN
