Another great musical has stepped onto the Vancouver theatre stage this summer. Busting at the seams with energetic dance numbers, upbeat songs, and comedic moments, Theatre Under the Stars’ latest musical leaves audiences wanting more. MATILDA THE MUSICAL presented by Theatre Under the Stars will play at the Malkin Bowl until August 26th!

This year, Theatre Under the Stars will be playing 2 shows over the course of the summer, one of them being the Broadway musical, THE PROM. THE PROM opened on Tuesday July 11th and will play at Vancouver’s Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park until August 25th alternating nights with Theatre Under the Star’s other musical: MATILDA.

Nicoll Entertainment has announced casting for the 2023 UK tour of Dragons and Mythical Beasts, the award-winning family show that brings mythical creatures to life on stage using spectacular puppetry.

Netflix has released a video clip of Ashley Park singing 'Don't Start Now' by Dua Lipa on the latest season of Emily In Paris. From July 29th to August 7th, the Children’s Theatre of Richmond will present: CATS. This one-hour adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical features a cast of young actors, outstanding costumes, and many catchy songs.

Very exciting news for Vancouver theatre lovers this summer! From June 15th to July 22nd, the Ensemble Theatre Company will return to the Waterfront Theatre in Granville Island to present their Summer Theatre Festival featuring 2 plays: Marjorie Prime and Pass Over.

Ballet Kelowna presents the world premiere of the Company’s first-ever commissioned, full-length ballet, Macbeth, at the Kelowna Community Theatre on May 6 + 7, 2022 at 7:30pm. Originally scheduled to premiere in May 2020, and postponed due to the pandemic, the visceral production features choreography from Canadian choreographic star Alysa Pires, an original score by Dora Award-winning music director, composer, and lyricist Adam Sakiyama, and atmospheric multimedia visuals from Okanagan landscape artist Jane Everett.

Pacific Theatre brings Catherine Trieschmann's complex tale of faith, trauma, and conflicting human ideologies to the alley stage.

Brand new family theatre show, Dragons and Mythical Beasts, written by Derek Bond, today announces casting for its forthcoming UK Tour and summer season at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, London.

Netflix's hit series 'Emily in Paris' has been renewed for a second season! 

This month, HEY VIOLA! Viola Desmond: The Soundtrack of a Life plays from October 15 – 25 at the Anvil Centre in New Westminster. After interviewing star, Krystle Dos Santos in September, it was a pleasure to see her take the stage playing Canadian Hero: Viola Desmond in the show. Viola Desmond was a Canadian civil rights activist and entrepreneur. In 1946, Desmond fought against racial segregation as she refused to leave the “Whites only” section of a movie theatre in Nova Scotia. Desmond was arrested and charged with tax evasion. Her experience was publicized and sparked a movement amongst Canadians against racial discrimination. Viola Desmond is currently featured on the Canadian ten-dollar bill and her story will remain important to Canadian history, as racial injustices are still an ongoing issue we face today.

Say oui to new possibilities! Emily in Paris, a new series from Creator of Sex and the City, Darren Star, premieres October 2. Only on Netflix.

State Theatre New Jersey presents Dinosaur World Live for two performances on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 11am and 3pm. Each performance is followed by a post-show meet and greet where audience members have the opportunity to meet some of the dinosaurs in person. Tickets range from $15-$35.
