The cast of the popular AMC series MAD MEN appeared on this morning's 'Today show' on NBC to promote the highly anticipated 5th season of the show, premiering on March 25th.

AMC has just released a video clip of the upcoming 5th season of its hit drama series MAD MEN. The show will return to the network's schedule on March 25th with a special two-hour episode.

As first reported on TVLine.com, actress Holly Hunter will join Lucy Lawless and Elisabeth Moss in a BBC Worldwide seven-part miniseries to be called TOP OF THE LAKE. The series will be broadcast in the U.S. on the Sundance Channel.

The video features the show's lead character Don Draper, played by actor Jon Hamm. Season Five kicks off with a special two-hour episode on March 25th.

The Ambassador Theatre Group Ltd (ATG), the UK's largest theatre company, with 39 venues in the UK, including 13 in the West End, announced today that it has partnered with Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, the acclaimed director and choreographer, to form Jerry Mitchell Productions. Jerry Mitchell Productions will work to develop, create and produce new productions for ATG theatres in London, New York and around the world. Mitchell will also take on a Creative Producer role, as well as being a Director/Choreographer on selected productions, and will focus on a wide range of projects from new commissions to fresh, innovative versions of classic pieces.

Sundance Channel announced today it has signed with BBC Worldwide to co-produce Jane Campion's TOP OF THE LAKE, an original scripted project. The seven part mini-series will be directed by Oscar(R) winner Jane Campion ('The Piano,' 'Portrait of a Lady') and Australian director Garth Davis, and written by Jane Campion and Gerard Lee ('Sweetie'

As reported on Deadline.com, MAD MEN actress Elisabeth Moss is set to star in an upcoming miniseries titled TOP OF THE LAKE on the BBC. Moss is currently in final negotiations to play the lead in the six-hour miniseries which will be written and directed by Jane Campion and produced by Emile Sherman and Iain Canning of 'The King's Speech'.

La Jolla Playhouse announces its first production of the 2012/13 season: the world-premiere musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY, written by Pulitzer Prize winner and La Jolla Playhouse 2011 Gala Honoree Doug Wright (I AM MY OWN WIFE), Amanda Green (BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL) and Trey Anastasio of the popular band Phish, with direction by Neil Pepe (SPEED-THE-PLOW) and choreography by Benjamin Millepied ('Black Swan'), running April 27 - June 10, 2012 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), a new offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, today announced nominations for the inaugural Critics' Choice Television Awards, hosted by Cat Deeley and scheduled to take place at a luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on June 20, 2011. ABC was the most nominated broadcast network with 16 nominations, followed closely by NBC with 12. AMC and FX led nominations for cable networks, with nine each. Modern Family was the most nominated series with six.

Ian Rickson's production of Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour will complete its run at the Comedy Theatre on 7 May 2011 after two extensions to the West End run.
