The full cast has been announced for best-selling historical author Philippa Gregory's playwright debut Richard, My Richard.

After reviewing over 1,000 applicants from across the country and abroad, Palm Beach Opera has announced the international roster of 14 resident artists who will train with the company for the next five months. Throughout their 2024 Season residency, the artists appear on the PBO mainstage in supporting roles, perform in local concerts, train with esteemed guest faculty, and more. 

The Coronet Theatre's Autumn/Winter season is a presentation of multi-disciplinary modern stage-based art, with a spotlight on dance and movement related theatre forms, and an exceptional poetry strand. On Sunday, March 26, 2023, Encompass New Opera Theatre (Nancy Rhodes, Artistic Director), The Board of Trustees and The Encompass Honorary Gala Chair, Sheldon Harnick will pay tribute to Tony Award Winning Songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and Legendary Cabaret and Concert Artist -- Marilyn Maye with a star- studded musical salute.

Celebrating 46 years of creative music theatre, Encompass Artistic Director, Nancy Rhodes and Music Director, Liz Hastings will present Angel of the Amazon, a new musical drama with book and music by Evan Mack at The Sheen Center, 18 Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10012. Performances begin Thursday, November 10 and runs through Sunday, November 20, 2022.

The New York premiere production of Los Otros, a musical in one act with book & lyrics by Tony Award nominee Ellen Fitzhugh (Grind, Paradise Found) and music by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant), will star Luba Mason and Caesar Samayoa.

Shakespeare’s Globe will be the first company to perform at The Amphitheatre, a stunning new venue in the heart of the Cotswolds. Julius Caesar is directed by Diane Page and performed by Globe on Tour and will open 14 – 15 June.

PREMIERES NYC has announced the expansion of its bi-annual commissioning series INNER VOICES with the New York premiere production of Los Otros, a musical in one act with book & lyrics by Tony Award nominee Ellen Fitzhugh (Grind, Paradise Found) and music by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant). 

New York City Opera will present Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht's thrilling double bill, The Seven Deadly Sins & Mahagonny Songspiel, for the first time ever told as one story, a tragic fable for today.

ACO musicians including violinist Karen Kim, cellist Eugene Moye, pianist Christopher Oldfather, flutist Laura Conwesser, clarinetist Liam Burke, and percussionist Javier Diaz will perform music by a broad array of composers, many of whom are close to the orchestra – including current and former ACO Board of Directors members Alvin Singleton, Augusta Gross, Melinda Wagner, Robert Beaser, and Jonathan Bailey Holland.

Casting has been announced for the new musical 'Perfectly Ordinary' at the Hope Mill Theatre this July. With a Book & Lyrics by Matthew Rankcom and a score by Joe Wilson, the production, based on real events, is 'a touching insight into life with a mental illness'. The musical premiered at the Guildford Fringe Festival in 2018 and appears now in an all-new production for Manchester audiences.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Joseph Masteroff, the Tony-winning librettist of the international musical classics, Cabaret and She Loves Me, died on September 28th 2018 at the Actors Fund Home in Engelwood, New Jersey. He was 98 years old.
