That Face by Polly Stenham and directed by Michael Colucci, Artistic Director, Redtwist Theatre opens at Redtwist Theatre on Saturday, July 2, at 3:00pm

FREUD'S LAST SESSION, the smash hit play by Mark St. Germain, will host special post-performance discussions this Saturday matinee June 11th, Sunday matinee June 12th and Tuesday June 21st led by the playwright and the show's stars, Mark H. Dold (C.S. Lewis) and Martin Rayner (Sigmund Freud).

Tony Kushner's THE INTELLIGENT HOMOSEXUAL'S GUIDE TO CAPITALISM AND SOCIALISM WITH A KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES presented by The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) and Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin) in association with the Guthrie Theater (Joe Dowling, Director) will begin its final week of performances on Tuesday, June 7.

Directing the Broadway premieres of entities as diverse as Edward Albee's blisteringly brilliant modern tragedy THE GOAT, OR WHO IS SYLVIA? - as well as Albee's THE PLAY ABOUT THE BABY Off-Broadway; in addition to other notable Off-Broadway credits including the recent revival of Larry Kramer's Pulitzer-prize-winning THE NORMAL HEART starring Raul Esparza - to Arthur Miller's THE RIDE DOWN MT. MORGAN starring Patrick Stewart, Farah Fawcett's troubled star vehicle BOBBI BOLAND, up to this season's hit revival of Alfred Uhry'ss DRIVING MISS DAISY starring James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave and the brand new Shakespeare-In-The-Park production of MEASURE FOR MEASURE - beginning previews at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park this week - director David Esbjornson's work is always vivid, human and compelling. Taking on one of Shakespeare's most problematic plays is merely one of the many challenges for Esbjornson and that has been even further compounded by the intense and sporadic rehearsal nature of playing two new productions simultaneously in repertory, as the Public is doing this season with MEASURE FOR MEASURE along with Daniel Sullivan's ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL - which was featured in this very column last week. Talking about all aspects of this revolutionary new take on MEASURE FOR MEASURE as well as his past work, Esbjornson and I shine a light on the sensitive and moving productions that he has provided the theatre community with in his tenure, foremost of all being this new MEASURE FOR MEASURE.

British playwright Joe Orton's classic dark comedy ENTERTAINING MR. SLOANE, hits Los Angeles this June for a four week run at the Actors Company theater. The play, which originally debuted in London in 1964, tells a sexy, suspenseful, and often humorous story that continues to captivate and surprise audiences today. Director Stan Zimmerman leads an ensemble cast which includes: Ian Buchanan (The Bold and the Beautiful), Olivia d'Abo (THE WONDER YEARS), Emrhys Cooper (We Will Rock You) and Robin Gammell (NIP/TUCK).

The award-winning "Veritas" by Stan Richardson will be presented on Thursday, June 16th at 7:00 pm at The Laurie Beechman Theater (located inside West Bank Cafe) at 407 West 42nd Street (@ Ninth Ave) as part of the New York International Festival presents THE FringeBENEFITS SERIES; which is offering a taste of 15 of the most beloved shows from the past 15 years of FringeNYC.

Red Tape Theatre presents the apocalyptic comedy Tragedy: a tragedy by Will Eno, author of the Pulitzer Prize-finalist play THOM PAIN (based on nothing).

The Developmental Lab Production of NOW.HERE.THIS. - the newest work from the creators and cast of the legendary musical [title of show], will begin performances on Saturday, June 4 at the Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street), with a special performance to benefit the non-profit theatre company on Sunday, June 19th at 7:00pm.

Due to popular demand, Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin) is pleased to announce a one-week extension for Tony Kushner's THE ILLUSION, directed by Michael Mayer. The production, originally slated to run through July 10, 2011, will now play through Sunday, July 17, 2011. THE ILLUSION began previews Tuesday, May 17 at the Peter Norton Space (555 W. 42nd Street) with opening night scheduled for June 5.
