AARP The Magazine announced that Lily Tomlin will receive this year’s Movies for Grownups Career Achievement Award. Tomlin is the recipient of eight Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, a Grammy Award, and more. Netflix's Still LAUGH-IN: The Stars Celebrate, a 50th anniversary tribute to Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In will launch globally on the streaming service on Tuesday, May 14th.  

The stars align on March 8th, 2019 at Hollywood's Dolby theater for Still LAUGH-IN: The Stars Celebrate, a 50th anniversary tribute to Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In.  The series, which spanned from 1968-1973, won two Emmy Awards at the helm of its legendary director/producer George Schlatter, who will also be attendance as his groundbreaking series is honored throughout the night.

In this hilarious one-woman show, Lily performs more than a dozen of her timeless characters, from Ernestine to Mrs. Beasley to Edith Ann. The Grammy, Tony, and Emmy winner uses a fantastic range of voices, gestures, and movements to conjure up a cast of characters "with all the apparent ease of a magician pulling a whole menagerie of animals from a single hat" (New York Daily News). This warm and affecting performance is filled with comic insights and wry, witty observations about the human condition.

BWW Review: An Evening of Classic Lily Tomlin at Popejoy Hall

Lily Tomlin - an entertainment maverick whose talents put her at the pinnacle of comedy, acting, writing and producing - has been named the 53rd recipient of SAG-AFTRA's highest tribute: the SAG Life Achievement Award for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment.

An Evening of Classic Lily Tomlin brings the award-winning comedienne and one of the world's most beloved entertainers back to Segerstrom Center for the Arts for one night only on Saturday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m. in Segerstrom Hall. Tomlin, who is currently in production on the hit series, Grace and Frankie, co-starring Jane Fonda, returns to the Center in her solo show that features her hilarious brand of stand-up comedy and delves into some of the most iconic Tomlin roles from her extraordinary 40-year career. Immediately following her show, there will be a Question & Answer segment with the audience.

Twenty years and 21st century technology bring Kevin Henkes' beloved picture book, Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse to First Stage this May and June to send their audiences into summer on a brilliant high. In a production combining three Henkes' stories, including 'Chester's Way' and 'Julius, Baby of the World,' Kevin Kling's theatrical adaptation of Henkes' tiny mice tales delightfully portray Lilly, 'Queen of the World.' Stories where Lilly discovers friendship and family carry her through those times when as Henkes wrote: 'Today was difficult, tomorrow will be better.'

Just about every Tony Award telecast contains an acceptance speech that gets a little nutty.

Comedienne Lily Tomlin will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 53rd Annual International Cinematographers Guild Publicists Awards Luncheon, to be held at the Beverly HIlton Hotel on January 26.
