Original cast member Harry Bouvy is set to return as Dr. Chilton in Off-Broadway's smash hit SILENCE! The Musical tomorrow, September 12th at the new Elektra Theatre in Times Square.

The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing firms, will hold another in its series of seminars focused on the culture, business and history of Off Broadway today, September 9th.

A new block of tickets are now on sale for one of the best reviewed Off-Broadway shows of the year, Closer Than Ever with lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. and music by David Shire. Tickets are now on sale through Novembefr 18, 2012 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

The Musical the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli, will open a Los Angeles company with performances beginning tonight, August 31, at the Hayworth Theatre. This engagement marks the West Coast Premiere of the Off-Broadway hit. The press opening is scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2012. SILENCE! The Musical is produced by Theater Mogul.

GPR Records will release a recording of Catherine Zeta-Jones narrating The Runaway Bunny, based on the best selling children's classic by Margaret Wise Brown. Also on the CD will be English Baritone Mark Stone singing Goodnight Moon and a special guest superstar narrating Poulenc's Babar, The Elephant. David Ayers is replacing Stephen Bienskie, who is departing to recreate his original role in the upcoming L.A. production of SILENCE! As BroadwayWorld reported earlier today, composer Marvin Hamlisch passed away Monday evening at 68 years old following a brief illness. We celebrate the life and career of the legend with even more photos below.

Marvin had a rare musical intelligence and imagination. His work seemed to easily bridge the gap between Art and Commerce. His artistry in writing beautiful melodies always moved me, and spoke to me of his classicism and deep feeling nature. This is a great loss for all of us. One consolation is that his music has been made popular around the world, and people in so many different countries will continue to be moved and inspired by his music as we are.
