Theatre Baton Rouge has enchanted its way into the hearts of audiences once again with their closing production of the 2016-2017 season, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

It's been three months since Disney's live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast was on the silver screen, and with a gross of over 500 million dollars, it proves that Disney's tale as old as time is still beloved.

59E59 Theaters has announced that SONGBIRD is extending its run through Sunday, December 6. The production was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, November 29.

See 'Songbird,' a gem of a show, now at 59E59 through November 29th. It is written by Michael Kimmel, directed by JV Mercanti with original music and lyrics by Lauren Prichard. Based on 'The Seagull' by Anton Chekhov, it is set in Tennessee and features an excellent country music score.

Opening Night is Wednesday, October 28 at 7 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7 PM; Friday at 8 PM; Saturday at 2 PM & 8 PM; and Sunday at 3 PM. Center Stage announces the full cast and creative team for the world premiere production of Marley, a new musical with music and lyrics by Bob Marley, and written and directed by Center Stage Artistic Director Kwame Kwei-Armah. The production will run May 7* to June 14, 2015 at Center Stage in Baltimore.

Red Bull Theater's next Revelation Reading, John Marston's The Dutch Courtesan, directed by Michael Sexton, featuring Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe, along with Matthew Amendt, Michael Braun, Lucas Caleb Rooney, Autumn Dornfeld, Cameron Folmar, Don Guillory, Daniel K.
