Professor Morrison will examine markers of identity in compositions by Dmitri Shostakovich, including Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony, Op. 110a, originally the composer's Eighth String Quartet.

Conducted by Paul Bryan, the Director of Bravo Brass who is the Dean of Faculty and Students of the Curtis Institute of Music, Bravo Brass is the all-brass ensemble of the highly regarded Philadelphia Youth Orchestra-one of the few ensembles of its type in the country.
