The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts today announced that individual tickets go on public sale next month for four upcoming Kravis On Broadway shows, all of which were major hits on the Great White Way.

'Plaid Tidings,' the Q Brothers and 'Die Hard' bring us holiday shows, and shows come and go at Lyric Opera and the Royal George. It's time to start dancing in the street! BroadwayWorld has just learned that Motown The Musical, the smash hit production featuring the music of the legendary Motown catalogue and a book by Berry Gordy, will return to Broadway for an 18 week limited engagement beginning July 2016 at The Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41 Street).

On December 5, Target First Saturday will explore the history, culture, and fantasy of Coney Island, with music, dance, and performances from the famed amusement park. The evening's highlights include a pin-up mermaid costume contest, a screening of The Wiz, entertainment by Brown Girls Burlesque and sideshow acts,and musical performances by Amour Obscur, Fright Barker and Sons, and Raya Brass Band. 

The yellow brick road will keep on leading fans to the magic of Oz after NBC airs its live production of THE WIZ on December 3. BroadwayWorld has learned that Broadway Records and Masterworks will be releasing THE WIZ LIVE! Original Soundtrack of the NBC Television Event on December 11 (digital) and Decmebr 18 (physical). The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, November 22 at 9:30 PM to continue the Fall 2015 Season. The Meeting* has been called 'delicious and delightfully droll' by The New York Post and 'hilarious and sardonic' by The Village Voice. A story for Slate.com called the evening 'so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight.' The 2014-2015 season sold out after a New York Times 'Arts & Leisure' piece ran last fall. The November 2015 show will feature a centennial celebration of legendary gay jazz composer Billy Strayhorn, with special guests Tonya Pinkins, Nathan Lee Graham and Natalie Douglas. Tracy Stark serves as the show's Music Director.

A 'lost' album of Diana Ross performing songs from the 1978 big screen adaptation of THE WIZ will be released on November 27th.

The West End production of Motown the Musical, opening at the Shaftesbury Theatre in February 2016, will hold open casting auditions next month on Saturday 7 November 2015 for the opportunity to portray the iconic artists of Marvin Gaye and Young Michael Jackson in the musical. 

The circus is in town and I ain't talking about Barnum & Bailey! The national tour of the 2013 revival of PIPPIN made its way to the Bayou City and I'm hippopotamusly happy to see this tour! When creative geniuses such as Bob Fosse and Stephen Schwartz are at the helm of the original material, there's no denying that a musical theatre maven such as myself would be overzealous.
