Labyrinth's A FAMILY FOR ALL OCCASIONS Extends Through 5/26

Labyrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble, announced today its World Premiere production of A Family For All Occasions, written by Bob Glaudini and directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman, will extend performances. Originally scheduled to play its final performance on May 19, A Family For All Occasions will now close on Sunday, May 26th. (more...)

Hamish Linklater's THE VANDAL Will Be Filmed for Broadcast

The Flea has announced that Thirteen WNET will be filming the critically acclaimed production of THE VANDAL on March 29. A broadcast date has not been slated. Written by actor Hamish Linklater (School for Lies, Twelfth Night, Recent Tragic Events & The Busy World is Hushed, and TV's The New Adventures of Old Christine), The Vandal runs through March 31. It is directed by Flea Artistic Director Jim Simpson starring Zach Grenier, Deidre O'Connell, and Noah Robbins. (more...)

Off-Broadway theater company Playwrights Horizons celebrated its annual Spring Gala yesterday evening, June 11th at the event space 583 Park Avenue. Titled "The Highest Standard", the evening celebrated its five Pulitzer Prize-winning productions and honor the creators of these memorable works for the theater. The honorees were James Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George), Bruce Norris (Clybourne Park), Stephen Sondheim (Sunday in the Park with George), Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy), Wendy Wasserstein (The Heidi Chronicles) and Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife).
