Brazilian theater company Group Dot BR and House of Yes have announced Opa! São João, a taste of the Brazilian Festas Juninas also known as Festas de São João (June Parties/Saint John Parties).

The League of Professional Theatre Women, an organization which has been championing women in the professional theatre for over three decades, announces their 38th season of programming, events, and advocacy along with new officers and board members. All events this season will be presented online via Zoom, unless otherwise noted. 

On May 18, Kairos Italy Theater and NYU Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò held the online event KIT Intl playwrights series 2020 dedicated to Women in Comedy.

The League of Professional Theatre Women (Shellen Lubin and Catherine Porter, Co-Presidents), an organization which has been championing women in the professional theatre for over three decades, will launch their 37th season of programming, events, and advocacy, with a special event on Wednesday, September 25 at Theaterlab (357 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10018). Pre-reception networking will begin at 6:30pm. The event will officially kick-off at 7pm, followed by post-reception networking from 9pm-9:30pm.

On March 8-18, Bother Line, an original Nettles Artists Collective (NAC)-produced one-woman performance created by actress Gio Mielle, will re-emerge at the Tank. Bother Line will have a seven-show stretch and will kick off Women's History Month on International Women's Day. The solo performance shines a light on the microaggressions that weaken and destroy women and culture.

With topics befitting contemporary gender-based issues, Bother Line's solo performance is an original piece created and conceptualized by Gio Mielle.

On August 17, 7 p.m., performer Gio Mielle and theater director Debora Balardini will present Bother Line, an original one-woman performance currently in development and produced by Nettles Artists Collective at the Tank's 2017 LadyFest. The original piece will be performed at the Tank in New York's Broadway theater district.

On Her Shoulders will present a special event on Monday, April 3, 2017 celebrating its theatrical heritage as agents of change.

Group.BR is proud to present INSIDE THE WILD HEART, based on the writings of CLARICE LISPECTOR. The production will begin a limited Off-Broadway run at Immersive Gallery (132 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, NY) on November 3rd & will run through November 20th.
