Rehearsals have begun for David Mamet's 'Oleanna,' which begins previews May 28 and continues through July 12 at the Center Theatre Group / Mark Taper Forum (opening night is Friday, June 5). 'Oleanna' features Bill Pullman and Julia Stiles under the direction of Tony Award-winner Doug Hughes.

RACE, the new play written and directed by David Mamet will make its world premiere at the ETHEL BARRYMORE THEATRE (located at 243 West 47th St.) beginning on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 with the official opening night on Thursday, December 6, 2009. American Stage Theatre Company Breaks Subscription Records During 2008-09 Season

American Stage Theatre Company's 30th anniversary season has seen several high points, not the least of which is the recent announcement of the record number of subscriptions the theatre sold for its current 2008-2009 season. As of May 1, American Stage has sold 3,128, the first time in the theatre's history that they have had over 3,000 subscribers.

Before Academy Award winner Ethan Coen's new triptych of one-act comedies even opens on May 7, Atlantic Theater Company has announced an extension of the limited engagement through Sunday, June 7 Off-Broadway at the Linda Gross Theater. Coen reunites with Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham and director Neil Pepe following last season's sold out engagement of Almost an Evening.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced additional casting today for the Shakespeare in the Park production of TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Daniel Sullivan. Herb Foster will play Valentine; Kevin Kelly will play Sea Captain; Tony nominee Stark Sands will play Sebastian; Baylen Thomas will play Curio; Jon Patrick Walker will play Fabian; and Tony Award winner Julie White will play Maria. TWELFTH NIGHT will feature original music by symphonic folk-rock band Hem.

Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that Things of Dry Hours, written by Naomi Wallace and directed by Ruben Santiago-Hudson, will begin performances Friday, May 22, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery.
