Work Light Productions has announced the complete cast for the National Tour of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL.

HAMILTON just celebrated its opening night in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre (6233 Hollywood Blvd at Hollywood & Vine St), and BroadwayWorld has photos from the star-packed festivities below!

Producer Jeffrey Seller and Broadway In Chicago announced today that a new 16 week block of tickets for HAMILTON at The PrivateBank Theatre (18 W. Monroe) will go on-sale Tuesday, August 29.  Tickets will be available for performances through April 29, 2018. 

What can I say about HAMILTON that hasn't already been said one hundred times over? I was excited to attend opening night at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. I haven't seen so much over.the.top yet genuine enthusiasm for a show since the original Dreamgirls with Jennifer Holliday in the 1980s. Audience screamed and cheered the entrances of every major character. At the top, I was so propelled into the setting and the action of the American Revolution in 1776 that I forgot I was watching an historical show...and that says a lot because I am not a fan of rap music. However, for those of you like me, you are in for a treat, because its heart-pounding beats drive the show with a thrilling nonstop execution like no other.

Motown The Musical, the Tony Award-nominated tribute to the musical greats of the 1960s and '70s, brings its signature sound and American dream story to Starlight Theatre for six performances August 22-27. The acclaimed musical follows the true life story of Motown founder Berry Gordy Jr. on his journey from featherweight boxer to heavyweight music mogul. The man who founded Motown records in Detroit in 1959 went on to launch the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and so many more.

Ever wonder what Hamilton would look like on a completely different set? In a recent interview with Variety, Hamilton director Thomas Kail and scenic designer David Korins chatted about how they landed on the final concept for his design.

The Tony Award winning production of the new American musical Bandstand, directed and choreographed by three time Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton, In The Heights) and featuring music byRichard Oberacker and a book and lyrics by Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker, will conclude its critically acclaimed engagement on Broadway on Sunday, September, 17, 2017 following 24 previews and 166 regular performances.

Producer Jeffrey Seller announced today that HAMILTON will return to San Francisco in early 2019.  Information regarding engagement dates and how to purchase tickets will be announced at a later time.

Broadway In Chicago and Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Motown Founder Berry Gordy are delighted to announce that individual tickets for the return of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL will go on sale on Friday, July 28, 2017.

Motown the Musical has just released 500,000 new tickets for sale, taking bookings for the hit West End production into 2019 when the show will celebrate its third year in London and Motown will celebrate sixty years since the record company was founded. 

Motown The Musical will play Hershey Theatre from Today, July 19th through Sunday, July 23rd.

Ghostlight Records is celebrating the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the new musical WAR PAINT - starring two-time Tony Award winners Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole - with a special in-store event at Barnes & Noble today, July 14 at 2:30 PM.
