Continuing the celebration of its 50th Anniversary year, The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, will present a concert performance of Still Getting My Act Together, a sequel to the Off-Broadway hit musical I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking it On the Road, with book & lyrics by Gretchen Cryer and music by Nancy Ford.

In his opening night curtain speech, director Jeff Mangum referenced the Wayward Actors' Company 2018 production of Hand to God, which he also directed. David Ippolito's The Green Room is another unorthodox speculation about the contrast between the more inclusive Christian sects and their more extreme brethren.

This Saturday, December 3, at the “Something'th Annual Year End Concert,” Ippolito releases “That Guitar Man From Central Park, The Songs of David Ippolito”, a songbook filled with the music and lyrics of more than 20 original songs.

11-year-old Tori Murray, the young star of Off-Broadway's musical smash RUTHLESS!, performed at the fifth annual 'Night of Dreams' holiday gala in Bryant Park on November 30th presented by the Broadway Dreams Foundation. Broadway's brightest stars and patrons of the arts joined together for a festive celebration of the country's premier musical theatre training program. Tori wowed the assembled guests with a rousing rendition of 'You Raise Me Up,' along with Quentin Earl Darrington (RAGTIME) and Broadway Dreams student Isabella Gottfried.

The open-ended Off-Broadway engagement of SHEAR MADNESS just opened at New World Stages/Stage 4 (340 West 50th Street). Bruce Jordan directs a cast that features Adam Gerber, Jeremy Kushnier, Kate Middleton, Patrick Noonan, Jordan Ahnquist and Lynne Wintersteller. Christine Lavin, prolific (and dang funny) songwriter and performer of the east coast cabaret and folk scenes, creates a hootenanny during her residency at Don't Tell Mama most Wednesday nights in September. Co-hosting the series is Don White, folk singer-songwriter and activist out of Lynhurst, MA. The special guest on the evening of September 9 was LA-based lyricist, singer, producer Hillary Rollins. Each weekly show features a guest with whom Lavin and White will sing and laugh and swap stories. It's a good time.

The Broadway Ballyhoo, now in its fourth month at The Laurie Beechman Theater, will celebrate the Cabaret Convention by featuring, among its stars, nightlife Icon SIDNEY MYER and the legendary STEVE ROSS. Also joining the bill, Central Park Guitar Man DAVID IPPOLITO who is currently starring in his own show downtown, Possibility Junkie. More stars will soon be announced, as well.
