Let's face it; Silence Of The Lambs is one heck of a disturbing film. There's kidnapping, human skinning (and donning), human killing (and eating), unwelcomed public masturbation (and… sharing), mind games, criminals, memories of animal slaughter, local police, and bad pantsuits. With such horror and intense thrill and so many quotable award-winning performances it is no wonder that a comedic twist would play out so well.

The New York Times reports that Bernadette Peters and Martin Short are in talks with producers about co-starring as 'Agnes Snow' and 'Michael Snow' in a revival of Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt's I DO I DO. Talks about the possible revival are in the earliest phases and no readings or workshops have been planned. The producers behind the revival are Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (Promises, Promises, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Smash), and Broadway Across America's John Gore and Beth Williams.

According to the NY Times, Lynne Nottage's BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK, which ran at SEcond stage theatre this past spring might make its way into the Fall 2011 Broadway line-up. Producer Elizabeth I. McCann revealed that she has accquired the rights to the show, and is currently searching for investors for a potential Broadway run.
