Asian-American Romantic Comedy WEDDING PALACE will open in select U.S. theaters on Sept. 27 it was announced today. Currently, the film is slated to open at Times Square's AMC Empire 25, and Los Angeles/Orange County's CGV Theater, Laemmle's Playhouse 7 in Pasadena, and Edward's University Town Center 6 in Irvine.

This September, The Granada Theatre is striking the jazz and blues chords with two back-to-back performances within one week. The Granada Theatre is proud to welcome three well-known modern masters of the smooth jazz genre - Peter White, David Benoit, and David Pack. This triple bill will perform on Friday, September 13 at 8pm. The following Friday, September 20 at 8pm, Dr. John will take the stage and perform his New Orleans-style rhythm and blues. Organizers are excited to announce the second annual Taste of the Bash, which was a wildly successful element introduced last year and will again feature more than 25 restaurants showing off their finest creations. The Taste is an added value so those purchasing tickets to the concert will be admitted to the Taste of the Bash for no additional charge. The Birthday Bash is the major fundraising event for KSBR.

The new Broadway production of JEKYLL & HYDE, starring Constantine Maroulis and Deborah Cox, plays its final performance today, May 12, 2013, after 15 previews and 30 regular performances at the Marquis Theatre. Direct from a 25-week national tour which launched in October 2012, JEKYLL & HYDE began previews on Broadway on April 5 and opened on April 18, 2013. Lane/Bonnie Comley have just announced the first preview, opening night and ticket on-sale dates for the new Broadway production of JEKYLL & HYDE, starring Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis in the dual title role of 'Dr. Henry Jekyll' & 'Edward Hyde' and Grammy-nominated R&B superstar Deborah Cox as 'Lucy'.

The New York Times reports that film producer Mike Medavoy ('Black Swan') and Rick Nicita of RP Media have teamed up to buy the film rights to the Broadway musical JEKYLL AND HYDE. The musical, with a book and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and music by Frank Wildhorn, is set to return to Broadway's Marquis Theater in Spring 2013 following a 25-week National Tour.
