Tennessee Rep Announces Schedule for Ingram New Works Festival

Tennessee Repertory Theatre has announced its schedule for the Martha R. Ingram New Works Festival. The festival will be held May 8 - 18 and will feature staged readings of new plays from four regional playwrights as well as nationally-renowned playwright Theresa Rebeck. Rebeck is this year's recipient of the Ingram New Works Fellowship.

Atlantic Theater Company will welcome Olivier and two time Tony Award winning playwright John Guare in his Off Broadway acting debut in the world premiere production of his new play 3 KINDS OF EXILE, directed by Atlantic artistic director Neil Pepe, featuring Atlantic ensemble members Peter Maloney and David Pittu and guest artists Alison Cimmet, Jeffrey Kuhn, Jacquelyn Landgraf, Martin Moran, Kate Rigg, Omar Sangare and Timothy Splain. The 2013-2014 Season for Classic Theatre of San Antonio brings with it exciting shows and the need for a new home. Over the last four years, The Classic Theatre has been housed in the Blue Star Arts Complex with JumpStart Performance Company. This partnership provided a space for two theatre companies and a permanent home for professional artists. JumpStart Performance Company's lease with Blue Star Arts Complex, however, will not be renewed. So, after four years in the Sterling Houston Theatre of the Blue Star Arts Complex, The Classic Theatre is looking for a new home.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced this year's recipients of 2013 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre. This year's receipients will be longtime agents William Craver and Peter Lawrence, the non-profit Career Transition for Dancers and North Carolina's long-running drama THE LOST COLONY.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced the first two productions of its 2013-14 Main Stage Season: the Broadway premiere of The Snow Geese by MCC alum Sharr White, which is a co-production with Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC); and the New York premiere of John Pollono's Small Engine Repair, which had previously been scheduled for the MCC 2012-13 Season. An announcement regarding the remaining productions of the MCC Theater 2013-14 Main Stage Season is forthcoming.

Court Theatre announces new performance dates for its smash-hit production of David Auburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning Proof, directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell. The production has extended through April 14. Tickets for the week-long extension are now on sale through the box office, www.courttheatre.org or (773) 753-4472. Proof is currently playing at Court Theatre, 5355 S Ellis Avenue.
