BroadwayWorld's cameras captured the 'green' carpet arrivals last night for THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD NOT TAKEN, a one-night-only benefit performance celebrating the 5th anniversary of the smash hit musical WICKED.

Grammy Award-winner and actress Ashanti, The View's Joy Behar, Sex and the City's Mario Cantone, Academy Award-nominated actor/writer/director Buck Henry, Ugly Betty's Mark Indelicato, Jersey Boys' Daniel Reichard, Gossip Girl's Matthew Settle, and Cheers' George Wendt will be among the cast of THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD NOT TAKEN, a one-night-only benefit performance celebrating the 5th Anniversary of the Broadway smash WICKED. The Benefit takes place this evening, Monday October 27th.

Goodspeed Musicals, the only two time Tony Award winning theatre in the country, is proud to announce the cast of its upcoming world premiere production of Jim Henson's classic holiday favorite Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, adapted for the stage. Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas will run December 7, 2008, through January 4, 2009, at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Connecticut.

The festival is created, hosted and written by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall. A concert Tribute to Lerner & Loewe started the festival on Friday, October 17th. The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the directors and casts for the eight musicals being presented at its 20th Annual Festival of New Musicals at New World Stages (340 West 50th St) on Monday, October 20 and Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Also, announced were the line-up for this year's Songwriter Showcase happening during the Festival.

The critically acclaimed Broadway Cabaret Festival continues to add more stars to its weekend lineup of concerts. The original New York cast of Side Man will celebrate its 10th Anniversary with a one- night reading of Warren Leight's Tony Award winning play to benefit Opening Act, an innovative nonprofit that provides free after-school theater programming to New York City's most under-served public high schools.
