IF/THEN - Captivating Tale of What Might Have Been, Now Thru Dec. 6

Trinity Rep continues Season 52 Rebels, Renegades and Pioneers with Wendy Wasserstein's Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy, The Heidi Chronicles, directed by Vivienne Benesch. Performances run December 3, 2015 through January 3, 2016.

The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. is proud to present Abraham.In.Motion, under the artistic leadership of acclaimed choreographer Kyle Abraham, from November 10-15. The program for this engagement, the company's first full season at The Joyce, will feature three works accompanied by live musicians, including one New York premiere.

Door-slamming farce can be a tough beast to tame. There's often so much going on, so much quick-moving action, doors opening and closing, characters literally running from place to place, that it can easily devolve into a confused mess. And there are usually so many witty retorts and double entendres, also often delivered very quickly, that they can sometimes be missed altogether. Luckily, in the hands of Trinity Repertory Company, A Flea in Her Ear by Georges Feydeau, is handled with near-perfect precision.

Rocky star Andy Karl and his wife Orfeh just released a new mash-up song called 'No Time for Pain (A Tribute to Rocky Broadway)' with a photographic flashback on the run of Rocky, which just closed on Broadway. This video features the Rocky instrumental theme, with vocal talents from Orfeh and Andy Karl.

Broadway's new ROCKY musical plays its final performance at the Winter Garden Theatre today, August 17th, after 28 previews and 188 regular performances. ROCKY received its world premiere in fall 2012 in Hamburg, Germany, where it continues to play to packed houses. The musical opened on Broadway on March, 13, 2014. This Just In... The Broadway musical of Rocky has been knocked out by a declining box office and will play its final performance at the Winter Garden Theatre on Sunday, August 17th after 28 previews and 188 regular performances. As the summer arrives, and many theater companies either end their season or switch to lighter, summer-friendly fare, one can look back and reflect on the theatrical offerings of the past year. There have without doubt been many weighty, dark, serious and thought-provoking plays on our area stages during fall and winter. Trinity Rep adds its own heavyweight into the final rounds of the season with their production of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind. Like much of Trinity's fiftieth season has been, it's a show that is uneven and, arguably, an underwhelming experience in the final analysis. Like many of the other recent similar theatrical offerings, it is also a show that is at times unquestionably riveting and spellbinding.
