Marsha Norman and Jason Robert Brown's THE TRUMPET OF THE SWAN Comes to the Wallis, 5/2-4

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents The Trumpet of the Swan, A Novel Symphony for Actors and Orchestra, adapted by Marsha Norman from E.B. White's timeless children's novel, with music by composer, Jason Robert Brown. Norman and Brown are also currently represented on Broadway with the new musical adaptation of The Bridges of Madison County. The Trumpet of the Swan, part of the Jack Elliott Family Concert Series, runs for a limited engagement, May 2 - 4, 2014 at the Bram Goldsmith Theater. (more...)

Composer Jason Robert Brown has a lot on his plate, with Honeymoon in Vegas currently playing at Paper Mill Playhouse and The Bridges of Madison County coming to Broadway in early 2014, and even more is coming soon. Brown revealed in a recent radio interview with David Kenney that his 2008 musical 13 is heading to the big screen. (more...)

With music direction by Adam Podd, the five-member cast will feature Cole Burden, Van Hughes, David Larsen, Lauren Pritchard and Ali Stroker.
