Daisy Eagan is full of surprises. Her Monday night concert was a crazy quilt of songs and stories culminating in one very big announcement that was a first for the Broadway at Birdland stage! That's right, Mary Lennox is having a baby! Of course, Daisy has been known as a full-grown, smart-talking gal-of-the-world for some time now, but to some, she'll always be that adorable kid who won the Tony at age 11.

Yesterday, the Broadway at Birdland concert series welcomed Daisy Eagan in her concert, "Daisy Eagan: F@¢k Off. I Love You," and during the performance the Tony-winning actress/singer revealed to the audience that she's expecting her first child.

The combination of music (mostly Broadway and Great American Songbook fare) and California gourmet cuisine at this North Hollywood, NoHo Arts District hot spot, registers cool chic as Sterling's Upstairs at The Federal which - by its very mission - engages thoughtful sensibilities and the good taste of its namesake and producer Michael Sterling. In other words, Sterling's offering of a west coast supper club with an east coast mentality translates to New York style cabaret planted smack dab in the middle of movie town, USA. And to seal the deal, talent like Lainie Kazan, Tony Award winners Faith Prince and Daisy Eagan; Tony nominee Euan Morton; Broadway's Kim Huber, Beth Malone, Jason Graae, Melody Hollis, Kay Cole, Ilene Graff, Cortes Alexander, Nikka Graff Lanzarone, Bruce Kimmel's Kritzerland Records monthly salutes, and a host of other musical theatre A-listers from one side of the county to the have appeared on the stage at Sterling's. Tim Realbuto, most known as the co-writer and director of the musical Ghostlight (which starred Rachel York and Tony winner Daisy Eagan), will appear in the Equity staged reading of Jessica Ann Carp's new musical Playground. As an actor, Realbuto has been seen in Finian's Rainbow; The Winter's Tale Project (FringeNYC); and as Jackson Phieffer in the Universal Pictures release "The Emperor's Club", opposite Kevin Kline and Jesse Eisenberg. Realbuto will star in Playground alongside "All My Children"'s Eileen Tepper (Les Miserables; Fiddler on the Roof); Helen Hayes Award winner Brian Childers (Danny and Sylvia; Miracle on 34th Street); Anthony Zillmer (All Shook Up; "The Winning Season"); and Jessica Ann Carp, the creator herself (whose acting credits include appearing alongside Drew Barrymore in the major motion picture "Riding In Cars With Boys").

Well, ...on Sunday, August 5 Bruce Kimmel's Kritzerland paid tribute to the musical genius that is Burt Bacharach - most songs with lyrics by Hal David - @ Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal. With a splendid group of singers that included Kim Huber, Danny Gurwin, Dennis Kyle, Jane Noseworthy, Daisy Eagan and Lisa Livesay...and Mr. Kimmel as congenial host, the evening was the 24th Kritzerland show, and most definitely one of its finest.

Musical Mondays Los Angeles (Ryan O'Connor and Scott Nevins, Co-Producers/Hosts) have announced that in anticipation of Liza Minnelli's upcoming concert at The Hollywood Bowl, they will present their first ever LIZA NIGHT. Featuring performances by Tony Award Winner Daisy Eagan (Broadway's Secret Garden, Les Miserables, TV's The It Factor), Tony Award Nominee Valarie Pettiford (Broadway's Fosse, TV's Half & Half, Film Jumping the Broom), Tom Lowe (TV's American Idol & Real Life: The Musical on OWN), Deborah S. Craig (Broadway's 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee & TV's Hart of Dixie), Julie Garnye (Broadway Cares' HAIR in Concert, Les Miserables), Stephanie Renee Wall (West Coast Ensemble's Gypsy), Sarah Wolter (Fred for Nothing), as well as additional performers TBA, will present an evening of songs made famous by Minnelli. In addition to performances, a ticket giveaway to see Liza Minnelli at the Hollywood Bowl will be presented at Eleven Nightclub in West Hollywood on Monday, August 6th at 10 PM.
