On Sunday, November 19th, from 12 PM to 4 PM, Flushing Town Hall celebrates its 9th annual Diwali, the Festival of Light, with food, dance, music, and art for audiences of all ages. 

City Parks Foundation has announced the 2023 season of Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage, New York City’s beloved outdoor performing arts festival, bringing 80 free and benefit shows to Central Park and 12 neighborhood parks across the five boroughs.  

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the New York Philharmonic announced the lineup for Open House Weekend—a free weekend-long celebration for all with more than 40 events at the new David Geffen Hall on October 29 and 30.

This November 6, Flushing Town Hall will celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, with a socially distanced festival of music, dance, traditional foods, and family-friendly activities. NY Phil Bandwagon 2 will begin this weekend at Domino Park in Brooklyn. Programmed in collaboration with Bandwagon 2 partner El Puente, the three-day festival celebrating Mother’s Day and Mother Earth takes place from a customized 20-foot shipping container and is hosted by Los Sures civic leader and El Puente CADRE member Esteban Duran.

On Saturday, November 2, Flushing Town Hall will celebrate the Festival of Lights with its fifth annual Diwali Festival, a Diwali Dance Party that features DJ Rekha and Abha Roy in a mash-up of Bhangra and Kathak music and dance styles. The celebration also will include cooking workshops, dance lessons, traditional foods, and family-friendly activities such as henna painting, a jewelry workshop, Indian fashions and games.

Fall gets festive at Flushing Town Hall! The global arts venue will present over 30 programs to entertain audiences of all ages and backgrounds this September through December. From a Diwali dance party to a marionette Nutcracker, there will be something for everyone to celebrate this season, including Flushing Town Hall's first-ever presentation of six NEA Jazz Masters together on stage for a once-in-a-lifetime concert.

On Saturday, November 10, Flushing Town Hall will celebrate the Festival of Lights with its fourth annual Diwali Festival, this time as a Diwali Dance Party, featuring DJ Rekha and Abha Roy in a mash-up of Bhangra and Kathak music and dance styles, with cooking workshops, dance lessons, traditional foods, and family-friendly activities such as a jewelry workshop and henna painting. The event will provide a rare opportunity to see DJ Rekha perform in New York City.

The ONE LOVE WORLD PEACE FUSION FESTIVAL & EXPO, presented by Nakisaki Organic Farms and The Green Kingdom launches its inaugural 3-day, 6-stage, 50+ artist music, art and lifestyle festival from June 22-24th, taking place at The Green Kingdom Sports & Entertainment Complex, located in Central New York at: 980 Robinson Road, in Mohawk.
