Soprano Laurel Irene, alongside guitarist Jaxon Williams and pianist Richard An, will perform Reena Esmail’s The Space Between (Chuti Hui Jagah) and John Harbison’s Mirabai Songs on February 5, 2022 at 7 PM at the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles, as part of the Resonance Collective’s Golden Thread Concert Series, a monthly exploration of musical performance as spiritual practice.

Winner of the 1950 Tony Award for Best Musical, Guys and Dolls is one of the first musicals about the actual street called Broadway as New York City's vital thoroughfare, not the theatrical Broadway of kick-lines and curtain calls. This is the first time Guys & Dolls has not been produced at the Alhambra Theatre and Dining since owner Craig Smith took over the venerable theater in 2009.

The Alhambra Theatre & Dining announced today its schedule for the 2022 season. The Broadway classic, Guys and Dolls will open on January 13, marking the Alhambra's 53rd season and continuing its run as the longest running dinner theater in the United States. Guys and Dolls will run through February 13.

This spine-tingling Sherlock Holmes' mystery is filled with suspense, humor, and terror. Based on the novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sir Henry is heir to the vast Baskerville fortune, a legacy that comes with a family curse: death at the fangs of a demonic hound. While mysterious lights signal Baskerville Hall and the hound terrifies the countryside, suspicion falls on sinister servants, butterfly collectors, ladies in distress, and escaped convicts.

Elegies is a heartfelt collection of songs about the deaths of various people Finn has known, including some of his closest friends and family members. This work is a commentary on the rewards and woes of being part of a family, a group of friends, and a society in good times and bad. Although the show is all about death and dying, it's no sad trip down memory lane. Never morbid, Elegies is touching, funny, and ultimately buoyant; floating on the spirits of those who inhabit its songs.

We all know the story, the songs and even the names of every character in this beloved Rogers & Hammerstein musical. The Alhambra Theatre & Dining will be opening the show on August 12, running through September 26.

When the Alhambra Theatre & Dining last mounted the lovable family-friendly summer show in 2017, Seussical the Musical, it sold every ticket. With the summer heat descending on the north Florida venue and COVID rules lifting a little a bit, the Alhambra is preparing for another sell out run – and just in time for some much-needed summer fun. The Alhambra will open its annual family summer show on June 17.  

Since taking over the helm of the storied Alhambra Theatre & Dining, Managing Partner Craig Smith has wanted to produce a Tennessee Williams play, and on February 24, 2021 he will get his wish as the Alhambra opens his most famous one, The Glass Menagerie.

The production will be staged at The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center (1051 Main Street, The Villages, FL). 

On January 7, 2021 the Alhambra Theatre and Dining will kick off it’s 53rd season with Singin’ in the Rain. The show was originally slated for 2020 but was cancelled due to the pandemic.
