First Annual Philadelphia One-Minute Play Festival Set for 7/29-31

InterAct Theatre Company and the New York based company, The One-Minute Play Festival (OMPF) today announce their joint presentation of the First Philadelphia One-Minute Play Festival, to be performed on July 29th-31st 2013 at 8:00 PM EST. Following sold-out performances in a dozen other cities, this festival serves as the culmination of a yearlong collaboration between the two companies after engaging in community and consensus building workshop sessions with local artists since August of 2012.

Victory Gardens and the One-Minute Play Festival (OMPF) present the Third Annual Chicago One-Minute Play Festival, an evening of micro-plays by sixty of Chicago's top playwrights, directed by ten Chicago directors. OMPF benefits the Miller Match campaign and will be presented for two performances only, today, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Retrop Productions will present JULIAN PO, a new musical with book and lyrics by Andrew Barrett and music by Ira Antelis, from July 8 to 14, 2013. JULIAN PO, which mixes comedy and drama, opens in New York after a critically-acclaimed, sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it was nominated for "Best Book of a Musical." JULIAN PO, based on the book La mort de monsieur Golouja by Branimir Š?epanovi? and the screenplay "Julian Po" by Alan Wade, features elements of pop, rock, country, bluegrass and gospel. JULIAN PO is an official selection of The New York Musical Theatre Festival's "2013 Next Link Project." The show is directed by Kirsten Sanderson with music direction by Mark Hartman.
