The toll on Scandinavian soldiers from peacekeeping--and the agony of popular indifference to their sacrifice--will be profound for American audiences to witness in 'Home Sweet Home,' an award-winning psychological drama by Danish playwright Andreas Garfield. The play was prominently recognized in Denmark's equivalent of the Tony Awards in 2007 and will be presented for its English Language and American premieres by Scandinavian American Theater Company (SATC) November 11 to 28 in the 9th Space at PS122. SATC is an emerging professional theater company that will be offering New York audiences daring and innovative works from Scandinavia's burgeoning theater scene. This one will be staged by Christoffer Berdal, who is currently one of Denmark's most sought-after directors. (more...)
