The 66th Festival de Cannes will close on 26th May with a screening of the thriller ZULU, shot entirely on location in South Africa by Jerome Salle and adapted from the novel of the same name by Caryl Ferey.

Chicago International Movies & Music Festival (CIMMfest No. 5), Chicago's annual festival of film screenings, music concerts and more, presents CIMMpathy for The Stones, a major retrospective celebrating The Rolling Stones' 50 years of music on film. The retrospective includes screenings of ten concert films and documentaries - two never before seen in Chicago - plus music videos and filmmaker Q&As Friday-Sunday, April 19-21, at Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport.
EASTWOOD DIRECTS: THE UNTOLD STORY Set for Tribeca Film Festival, 4/27

The screening will be held Saturday, April 27, followed by a panel with Clint Eastwood moderated by director Darren Aronofsky. The new documentary, produced by Richard Schickel (historian and veteran Time Magazine critic), focuses on Eastwood's unique directorial style as seen through the eyes of many of his actors and producing partners. Interviewed are Martin Scorsese, Meryl Streep, Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman, among others. The documentary explores how the five-time Academy Award-winning Eastwood has managed to be successful with the more than 40 films he has made with Warner Bros. in nearly as many years.
Hamish Linklater's THE VANDAL Will Be Filmed for Broadcast

The Flea has announced that Thirteen WNET will be filming the critically acclaimed production of THE VANDAL on March 29. A broadcast date has not been slated. Written by actor Hamish Linklater (School for Lies, Twelfth Night, Recent Tragic Events & The Busy World is Hushed, and TV's The New Adventures of Old Christine), The Vandal runs through March 31. It is directed by Flea Artistic Director Jim Simpson starring Zach Grenier, Deidre O'Connell, and Noah Robbins.

Due to popular demand, The Flea Theater has announced that Hamish Linklater's playwriting debut THE VANDAL will return for a limited 2 weekend run beginning March 22. The play stars Deirdre O'Connell, Zach Grenier and Noah Robbins, with direction by Jim Simpson, The Flea's founder and Artistic Director.

St. Ann's Warehouse welcomes back Kneehigh and director Emma Rice for the New York premiere of The Wild Bride. In this adaptation of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale 'The Girl Without Hands,' narrated by Satan himself, a father accidentally sells his daughter to the Devil. When our heroine cleverly escapes, a lyrical love story laced with devilish humor unfolds. The production features a bluegrass score by longtime Kneehigh composer Stu Barker, performed by live musicians and the cast.

The Lake Worth Playhouse celebrated its 60th Anniversary with a bang. Between two events, the Lake Worth Playhouse raised more than $21,000. The Playhouse was thrilled to welcome back Mr. Burt Reynolds who attended the Diamond Jubilee Gala Dinner as Guest of Honor and accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award.
