Ars Nova has announced the Ars Nova at Greenwich HouseWarming Party, a benefit performance of Freestyle Love Supreme with Lin-Manuel Miranda that will take place on Sunday, March 3, 6pm at Ars Nova at Greenwich House (27 Barrow Street, Manhattan). The HouseWarming Party will celebrate Ars Nova's expansion into the historic Greenwich House Theater and support the development of new artistic programs at two New York theaters: Ars Nova at Greenwich House and the Ars Nova Hub on 54th Street.

Sakina's Restaurant, the Obie Award-winning play written and performed by actor, writer, and former correspondent for "The Daily Show" Aasif Mandvi (Disgraced), opens this Sunday, October 14 at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Performances of the recently-extended five-week-only engagement began on October 5th. On Saturday night, Washington, D.C. had a visit from one of the most popular American presidents and, while thoughts of a certain musical about a founding father hung over the evening, George Washington delivered a charming concert in the Kennedy Center's Terrace Theater. To clarify, Mr. Washington himself was unavailable for the evening since he's been dead for two centuries. Christopher Jackson, however, who received a Tony nomination for his portrayal of our first president, served as a great alternative.

PULSE Theatre Company Chicago has announced its line-up for its 5th Season, which includes IN THE BLOOD by Pulitzer Prize Winner, Suzan-Lori Parks and GOD OF CARNAGE by Yasmina Reza (2009 Tony for Best Play). PULSE was co-founded by Columbia College Chicago Alumna, Aaron Reese Boseman and Christopher Jackson in 2014.

Broadway is taking over Disney! According to Deadline, a slew of Broadway actors will voice characters on the upcoming season three of Disney Junior's The Lion Guard.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Artistic Advisor at Large Renee Fleming have added singer/composer Theo Bleckmann as part of the 2018-2019 Renee Fleming VOICES series. Presented in conjunction with the Direct Current festival, this concert takes place Thursday, April 4, 2019, at 9 p.m. in the KC Jazz Club, located in the Terrace Gallery.

The courtroom comes to order in Ava DuVernay's Central Park Limited Series as The Affair's Joshua Jackson, Hamilton's Christopher Jackson, and 12 Years A Slave's Adepero Oduye join the cast.

Professional chamber choir St. Charles Singers, conducted by Jeffrey Hunt, will open its 35th concert season with a three-day Mozart Festival Weekend August 24-26, 2018, joined by the Metropolis Chamber Orchestra and guest soloist, soprano Michelle Areyzaga.
