Melanie Amaro stunned millions of viewers with the power of her voice and the intensity of her performances when she appeared during the inaugural season of THE X FACTOR last year. Garden State Players plans to Rock the Bayshore Saturday, Dec. 8 in a concert to benefit the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund and RAINE Foundation. The concert, which will be held in Raritan High School, 419 Middle Road, Hazlet, at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.), will feature a variety of local talent covering songs from various artists including Adele, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Christina Aguilera, Janis Joplin, Carrie Underwood, Mama's and the Papa's, Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, Fun and Alicia Keys.
