The 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards took place live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles last, Feb. 13, 2011 and broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The award for Best Musical Show album was revealed during the pre-ceremony live stream here and the winner is...the AMERICAN IDIOT Original Cast Recording! Today we are taking a look and a listen to the winter finale of Fox's hit musical comedy series GLEE and its accompanying soundtrack, GLEE: THE CHRISTMAS ALBUM, both of which premiered this week. 'Tis the season for all good GLEE gifts and if a special Christmas episode - 'A Very Glee Christmas' - just wasn't enough, then the two recently released soundtrack albums can surely fuel your fire until the post-Superbowl special episode in the new year!

What has made Season Two of GLEE must-see TV above all else? Who is the newest star soon to soar to the loftiest heights? Who has 'it' in a cast of ver-it-able all-consuming it-itis? Clue A: In just two performances and a handful of scenes in a couple of appearances he has made his star power shine, and on last night's especially strong episode of the wildly inconsistent second season of GLEE it is now safe to say that by any measure whatsoever a blazing star has been born, by any measure of Broadway, Hollywood, or anywhere else. Clue B: Find out what his name is, what songs to download, and some recent glimpses of his sure-to-be meteoric rise to global fame in the very near future in the content below. Clue C: 'Teenage Dream' and 'Hey, Soul Sister' are merely the humble beginnings of... Darren Criss, Superstar.

Reports are circulating that some Glee members will face the axe by 2012. GLEE creator Ryan Murphy has vowed to keep the show as true to traditional high school as possible, by planning to phase out characters who will graduate McKinley High, move on, and be replaced by new freshmen faces. He has nominated the end of the 2012 season as the likely start for cast exits.'Every year we're going to populate a new group,' Murphy says. 'There's nothing more depressing than a high schooler with a bald spot.

After an epic appearance by Gwyneth Paltrow on this week's episode, one can't help but wonder what GLEE creator Ryan Murphy has in store for the rest of the season.

British singer Susan Boyle and Glee's newest addition, Darren Criss, are the frontrunners for Billboard's top charts this week. The Gift, Boyle's new album, which has sold 318,000 copies so far, currently sits at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Glee's rendition of Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream,' showcasing lead vocals from Criss, sold 214,000 copies, putting the song at the top of Billboard's Digital Songs chart.

According to Oh No They Didn't, GLEE will release it's twelve track Christmas album on Nov. 16. Three weeks later, on December 7, GLEE will air it's Yuletide episode. Songs featured on the album include:

Glee has released some sneak peaks of the songs from the new episode 'The Substitute.' The Substitute is the twenty-ninth episode of Glee, and seventh episode in the second season. It will be aired on November 16th, 2010.
