Edie Falco, Charles Busch, James Barbour, Dee Hoty and Alexander Gemignani have been added to the star-studded roster of performers set to take part in The Drama League's 26th annual all-star gala, 'A MUSICAL CELEBRATION OF BROADWAY.' This year's black-tie event, to be held Monday, February 8, 2010 at the Pierre New York (2 East 61st Street at 5th Avenue), will honor five-time Tony Award winner and entertainment icon Angela Lansbury.

The Gingold Theatrical Group -- the first company to present every play written by George Bernard Shaw -- began their fifth year with Shaw's farcical romantic comedy from 1894, ARMS AND THE MAN. The play was performed yesterday, January 25 at 7pm at The Players Club. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the experience.

Cast members from Broadway's recent FINIAN'S RAINBOW will be on hand at the Lincoln Center Barnes and Noble at Lincoln Center on February 1st, 5pm for the release of the revival cast recording. The cast will perform and sign copies of the CD, which fans will be able to purchase a day earlier than its February 2nd release date.

Finian's Rainbow began previews at Broadway's ST. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street, on Thursday, October 8, and opened on Thursday, October 29. The production will have played 22 previews and 92 performances. The show's cast recording will be released on February 2 on PS Classics.

FINIAN'S RAINBOW Transfer a No-Go, Show to Close January 17 as Planned

Cast members have confirmed and Michael Riedel in the New York Post is reporting as well that although options to transfer Finian's Rainbow to a smaller theatre (the Neil Simon presumably) in a scaled down production had been discussed, ultimately it was deemed economically unfeasible and the show will still close as originally announced on January 17th.

The producers of All About Me announced today that due to the late change in directors, Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna's All About Me will begin previews at the Henry Miller's Theatre three days later than previously announced. All About Me's original director, Jerry Zaks, recently left the production to work as the head creative consultant on THE ADDAMS FAMILY, also heading to Broadway this spring. Casey Nicholaw stepped into fill Zak's shoes just a few weeks ago.

The off-Broadway staple Altar Boyz, played its final performance on January 10, 2010 at its home, New World Stages after playing 2032 performances - cast members past and present were on stage and on hand to celebrate the show's success. It is the 9th longest running off-Broadway musical in history.
