North Carolina Theatre, the region's premier nonprofit professional regional theatre, just announced full casting for their eagerly anticipated production of Margaret Edson's Wit. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play will be led by Broadway's Judy McLane (Vivan Bearing, Ph.D) and feature Tony Award®-winner Daisy Eagan (Susie Monahan, R.N., B.S.N.). The thought-provoking story will run in the AJ Fletcher Opera Theater at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh, April 29-May 8, 2016.

Dive on in with the dazzling cast of Dallas Summer Musicals' production of Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID! The fun-filled, timeless tale will play at the Music Hall at Fair Park March 11-27, 2016, presented by Dallas Summer Musicals. This colorful production will make its Fort Worth debut at Bass Performance Hall March 29 - April 3, 2016, presented by Performing Arts Fort Worth.

Set in 1959, Grease tells the story of ten working-class teenagers as they navigate the complexities of peer pressure, politics, personal core values, and love in their senior year of high school.

North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional regional theatre producing Broadway musical revivals, welcomes Broadway couple Hunter Foster and Jennifer Cody for this month's production of GREASE as director and choreographer, respectively. The power couple starred together in the 1994 Tony-nominated Broadway revival of GREASE for several years, during which the two were married.

Since Sacramento last saw "The Little Mermaid," director Glenn Casale has fin(e)-tuned Disney's script and created a near-perfect,  spectacle of a production. The unofficial mini-tour of the show comes to Sacramento courtesy of California Musical Theatre this week only and is already sold out.

The Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has been transformed into Whoville this week as it welcomed Dr. Seuss' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS: THE MUSICAL to the Orlando area. The Whos had no problem spreading Christmas cheer and reminding audience members that the holiday is just around the corner.

THE MUSICAL comes to town for 10 shows this week. Running from tonight through Sunday, December 13th this vibrant stage show tells the cherished story of how a loner with a heart 'two sizes too small' finds the joy in Christmas and community.

North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional regional theatre producing Broadway musical revivals, is thrilled to announce Broadway couple Hunter Foster and Jennifer Cody will lead the February 2016 production of Grease as Director and Choreographer respectively.  The power couple starred together in the 1994 Tony®-nominated Broadway revival of Grease for several years, during which the two were married.  NC Theatre's production of Grease runs February 9-14, 2016 in Raleigh Memorial Auditorium at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

Ever since the success of Disney's The Lion King, Disney Theatricals have been trying to catch lightning in a bottle a second time. After the original production of Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID closed on Broadway in 2009 (after a run of 685 performances), it underwent two years of intensive work to fine-tune and re-think the production. In 2014, Theatre Under The Stars produced this current revised version which includes new scenery and new costumes as well as flying.

Next to Normal is an original musical by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey that tells the story of a mother who struggles with worsening bipolar disorder and the effect that her illness and the attempts to alleviate it have on her family. The musical also addresses such issues as grieving a loss, suicide, drug abuse, ethics in modern psychiatry, and the underbelly of suburban life.

Based on the 1944 novel Anna and the King of Siam and hit classic Broadway musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I is making its North Texas debut at the Music Hall at Fair Park, produced by Michael A. Jenkins (six-time Tony Award winner) and Dallas Summer Musicals, Inc. This exciting new production features a revamped script, timeless songs, and a new physical production with an entirely fresh interpretation of the musical. Check out a first look at highlights below!
