Additional performers have been announced for 'Broadway Stands Up for Freedom,' the annual benefit concert of the New York Civil Liberties Union (the state affiliate of the ACLU), which will be presented Monday, July 22 at 7:30pm at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, 566 LaGuardia Place at Washington Square South, New York City .

DANCING WITH THE STARS duo Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy star in Broadway's FOREVER TANGO, which opened last night, July 14, at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W 48th Street). Forever Tango, the internationally acclaimed entertainment phenomenon began preview performances last week, and is slated to run through Sunday, August 11. Woof! BROADWAY BARKS! Takes Place Today, Starting at 3:30pm in Shubert Alley

Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters will host the 15th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, sponsored by the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and additional sponsorship by the New York Times, BARKS will take place on Saturday, July 13 in Shubert Alley, the heart of the Broadway Theater District (located between 44th and 45thStreets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenues). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from animal shelters citywide will take place between 5-6:30 p.m. This year, BARKS will open the show with a performance from the Jersey Boysfollowed by the Broadway debut of many adoptable animals presented by many stars from this season's 'hottest' shows. In addition, Peters will be in Shubert Alley with famed illustrator/ author, Hilary Knight, the designer of this year's BARKS poster and Playbill cover. The signing is from 12 noon - 2:00p.m. All proceeds benefit Broadway Barks!

MOTOWN's Ariana DeBose to Play Solo Show at Joe's Pub, 8/12

Broadway star Ariana DeBose (Motown, Bring It On) will make her solo concert debut with '...they say I'm different' at Joe's Pub on Monday, August 12th. Directed by Max Friedman, the 9:30pm concert will feature an eclectic mix of material, ranging from funk rock classics to new work from up-and-coming musical theater writers.

The 33rd annual broadcast of A CAPITOL FOURTH on PBS will feature over thirty cast members from Broadways' new smash hit MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, including Tony Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon, Saycon Sengbloh and 2013 Tony Award nominee Valisia LeKae. The company's medley of legendary Motown hits from the Broadway musical will include "Stop in the Name of Love," "Get Ready" and "Dancing in the Street" arranged and orchestrated for the majestic National Symphony Orchestra by 2013 Tony Award nominees Ethan Popp and Bryan Crook.
