A concert highlighting songs from the epic Broadway-Bound musical 'Akhenaten the Musical' is slated for tonight, May 1st at The Triad.

This May and June, 54 BELOW presents an exciting lineup of the brightest talent from Broadway and beyond. Located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street.

The starry lineup is now complete for the concert highlighting songs from the epic Broadway-Bound musical 'Akhenaten the Musical' on May 1st at The Triad. The Tony Nominee for Motown, Charl Brown, will join Broadway favorites N'Kenge (Motown the Musical, Sondheim on Sondheim) and Ted Keegan (Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd). Also previously announced to perform were Seph Stanek (Naked Boys Singing), John Lucas, Sahar Milani, Alia Munsch, and Erik Ransom.

This year's 10th Anniversary edition of Broadway Backwards (#bwaybackwards), which was held last night at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street), featured some of the most memorable numbers from previous years. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefitting BC/EFA and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York, the event was hosted by Honeymoon in Vegas star Rob McClure and Julie Halston. Tonight, January 22nd, Broadway Sessions will hold it's first ever 'Broadway Game Night'. 2 teams of Broadway favorites will go head to head in a series of hilarious games and challenges. Resulting in 'Swan Song' musical performances. Scheduled to 'play' are Charl Brown, Jessica Hendy, Peter Gregus, Ta'Rea Campbell, Mike Schwitter and Ellyn Marie Marsh.

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, the hit musical featuring the music of the legendary Motown catalogue and a book by Berry Gordy, ended its Broadway run yesterday, January 18 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. MOTOWN is set to return to Broadway at a Nederlander theatre to be announced in July 2016. Last spring, the first National Tour of Motown the Musical opened to critical acclaim, grossing an impressive $20 Million dollars during a packed sixteen-week run, and is now heading to major markets across the US. The Doo Wop Project, featuring current and former cast members of Jersey Boys and Motown The Musical, puts a modern day spin on a classic music style when it comes to the Mayo Performing Arts Center today, January 10, 2015 at 8 pm. Tickets are $29-49.
