The 2019 Collaboration Awards Gala, which is being held on International SWAN Day (Support Women Artists Now), will be hosted by SAG Award-winning actor and producer Alysia Reiner (Fig on Orange is the New Black on Netflix).

The Women in the Arts & Media Coalition will present the 2019 Collaboration Awards. which recognize women who successfully collaborate to create new and influential work, at the SVA Theater (333 West 23rd St, New York, NY 10011) on Saturday, March 30 at 6:30pm. The 2019 Collaboration Awards Gala, which is being held on International SWAN Day (Support Women Artists Now), will be hosted by SAG Award-winning actor and producer Alysia Reiner (Fig on Orange is the New Black on Netflix). Awarded biennially, the Collaboration Awards encourage professional women in the arts and media from different disciplines to work collaboratively on the creation of new work. The award recognizes the best of these collaborations and goes to a winning project and its two creators. 2019 marks the sixth time the Collaboration Awards have been presented.

Adjudication in the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist category resulted in a tiebetween Alan Schmuckler and Amanda Yesnowitz, andthe 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to Christian Duhamel. The 2018 prizes will be presented on Monday, February 5, 2018, in a private ceremony (by invitation only) hosted by ASCAP and BMI at ASCAP.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre Surpasses Matching Challenge to Secure Education Funding

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) has successfully raised $47,000 over the last month during performances of 'My 80-Year-Old Boyfriend,' barreling past its goal of $35,000 which is being matched dollar-for-dollar by two anonymous donors. The campaign brings $82,000 in vital funds to the company's education programs. It is the largest matching challenge grant in MRT's history, and its success is a major milestone for the 38-year-old theatre company.

World premiere of MY 80-YEAR-OLD BOYFRIEND at Merrimack Repertory Theatre is based on the true story of Broadway singer/actress Charissa Bertels and her unlikely friendship with a decidedly older gentleman. The narrative is uplifting, the score floats along with the story like a raft on a lazy river, and the performer is delightful company.
