HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: MATILDA gets a cast album, ONCE performs outside, MENAGERIE meets the press and so much more!

Versatile performer Celia Keenan-Bolger has been offering fans a candid glimpse behind the scenes of the highly anticipated Broadway revival of the Tennessee Williams classic THE GLASS MENAGERIE byway of a series of photos posted to her Instagram account.

The 17-week limited engagement of the critically-acclaimed revival of The Glass Menagerie begins performances at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th Street) on Thursday, September 5, 2013, and opens on Thursday, September 26th. The production will star multiple Tony and Emmy Award-winner Cherry Jones as Amanda Wingfield, film and stage star Zachary Quinto as Tom, two-time Tony-nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger as Laura, and Brian J. Smith as Jim, the Gentleman Caller. The cast and creative team met the press earlier today and you can check out photos from the big event below!

Producers Jeffrey Richards and John N. Hart Jr., in association with the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), have announced that the box office will open on Thursday, August 8th for the 17-week limited engagement of the critically-acclaimed revival of The Glass Menagerie at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th Street) with performances beginning Thursday, September 5, 2013, and an opening night set for Thursday, September 26th. Billy Porter, 2013 Tony Award Winner for Best Actor in a Musical (Kinky Boots) surprised students of Broadway Artists Alliance Summer Intensive Session One with his appearance on July 25th. Porter entertained the students with tales of his experiences. In addition, he participated in a Q&A, answering student's questions and providing advice for young performers. 92nd Street Y has announced that Jordan Roth, President of Jujamcyn Theaters, continues his popular interview series, "Broadway Talks with Jordan Roth," with award winning stage and screen star Cherry Jones on Sunday, October 27 at 7:30 p.m. Ms. Jones, the Emmy and Tony Award-winning star of "24" and Doubt, will return to the Broadway stage this season as Amanda Wingfield in Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie.

Newly announced for the evening are Charl Brown (Tony nomination, Motown The Musical); Lauren Molina (Rock of Ages, Sweeney Todd); and Andrew Lippa, Tony- and Grammy-nominated composer and librettist of The Addams Family, The Wild Party, and Big Fish, opening on Broadway in October.

Sundance Institute today announced the acting company, artists-in-residence and creative advisors for the seven projects being developed at its 2013 Theatre Lab, July 8-28 at the Sundance Resort in Utah. Under the supervision of Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the Lab is the centerpiece of the Theatre Program's year-round work and is designed to support both emerging and established artists and to create a place where their original work can be effectively mentored and challenged free from commercial pressure.
