This afternoon, Broadway's brightest gathered at the Marriott Marquis Times Square to celebrate this years Drama League Awards nominees for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award.

Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director, Casey Reitz, Executive Director) has announced complete casting for its upcoming New York premiere production of Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award and Olivier Award winner Bruce Norris' play, A PARALLELOGRAM, directed by current Tony nominee Michael Greif.

Denver Center for the Performing Arts and producer Stacey Mindich just announced that the national tour of DEAR EVAN HANSEN will launch in Denver in October of 2018, kicking off the 2018/19 DCPA Broadway season.  Nominated for nine Tony Awards® including Best Musical, DEAR EVAN HANSEN with a book by Tony® nominee Steven Levenson, score by Academy Award winners and Tony® nominees Benj Pasek & Justin Paul and directed by four-time Tony® nominee Michael Greif, will play The Buell Theatre.  Information regarding on-sale dates and tickets will be announced at a later time. As previously announced, Second Stage Theatre will begin the 2017 Uptown Series with the world premiere of Chisa Hutchinson's SOMEBODY'S DAUGHTER, directed by MAY ADRALES.

Due to extremely high ticket demand, Second Stage Theatre's New York premiere production of Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Tracy Letts' play, MAN FROM NEBRASKA, has announced a two-week extension after opening to extremely positive reviews on February 15th. The production will now play through March 26 at the Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd Street).

The episode tracks NEXT TO NORMAL's journey to Broadway. Through interviews with the show's stars, composers Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, Director Michael Greif, and Producers David Stone and Carole Rothman, the episode follows the show from it's first incarnation as a college project to a 10-minute musical at the famed BMI Workshop and then through it's development process off-Broadway and out of town before landing on Broadway were it became a long-running Pulitzer Prize winning hit.

Producer Stacey Mindich announced today that beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, December 7, Dear Evan Hansen will launch a digital lottery, which will allow users to enter the lottery for a chance to purchase specially-priced tickets to that day's performance.

Due to extremely high ticket demand, Anna Deavere Smith's critically acclaimed new work, NOTES FROM THE FIELD, has added a performance at 1pm on Wednesday, December 14. The production plays through Sunday, December 18th at Second Stage Theatre (305 West 43rd Street).
