Growing up, I had three passions, theatre, sports, and pro wrestling; today, in my inaugural “Translating Sports” column, I am going to discuss all three. Now, I can either look at this as the culmination of all of my childhood hopes and dreams, or as if my tastes and maturity level has not progressed since I was 12-years-old. Andy Roddick, at one time the No. 1 men's tennis player in the world and a Grand Slam singles champion, is joining FOX Sports 1, America's new sports network launching August 17, as a co-host for FOX SPORTS LIVE, the network's flagship news, opinion and highlights program. The announcement was made today by FOX Sports Co-President and COO Eric Shanks and Executive Vice President, Studio Production, Scott Ackerson who is overseeing FOX Sports' news coverage.

EWonline reports that Brenda Song will have a recurring role on the FOX comedy NEW GIRL. The actress is set to portray 'Daisy', described as 'an intense and hugely competitive young woman who dislikes "quitters" and becomes interested in Winston (Lamorne Morris) after seeing him strike out with Holly.'
