The New York Philharmonic's 2013-14 season includes Tony Award-winning vocalist and Broadway star Brian Stokes Mitchell, making his NY Phil debut with A Broadway Christmas, a special holiday program conducted by Ted Sperling, tonight and tomorrow, December 20-21, 2013. The versatile singer will perform Broadway favorites and holiday repertoire.

The National YoungArts Foundation today announced its 2014 YoungArts Winners. Out of approximately 11,000 applications, 687 young artists from 46 states have been recognized for their outstanding work and accomplishments in one of ten disciplines across the literary, performing, visual and design arts fields. The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra will perform the world concert premiere of Macy's Yes, Virginia in Concert at 2 p.m. today, December 14, at Music Hall. The family-friendly performance is developed and presented by Macy's and will feature John Morris Russell conducting the Pops along with singers and actors in a semi-staged adaptation under the stage direction of Patrick Boyd. Headlining the cast for the world concert premiere are Broadway veterans Liz Callaway, performing the role of Miriam, and Norm Lewis, as Mr. Church.

In less than a month, hundreds of artists from around the world have joined Art Set Free, a global showcase from Arts Brookfield that aims to create the world's largest collection of public art. Ten of the most innovative artists have been chosen for the first Best of Art Set Free digital art installation, which debuts this week on the monumental video screen at Brookfield Place Winter Garden, formerly the World Financial Center, in Lower Manhattan.

Bruce Vilanch, winner of 3 Emmy Awards for writing TV's Oscar telecasts, the popular center square on Hollywood Squares, and the Broadway star of Hairspray, returns for his record 5th appearance as the host of the New York NIghtlife Awards at Town Hall on Monday, January 27th, 7 PM at The Town Hall. Vilanch will be joined on stage by a cast of performers chosen as the most outstanding nightclub entertainers of the past year by the very press that covers them. The role of eight-year-old Virginia O'Hanlon will be performed by Gracie Alexander. This will be the world premiere performance of the fully orchestrated concert version of the musical with book and lyrics by William Schermerhorn and music by Wesley Whatley. "Yes, Virginia The Musical" was created by Macy's in 2012 as part of its annual holiday Believe campaign.

The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District (BID) hosts the 14h annual Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square, New York's largest outdoor holiday festival in less than a week on Monday December 2nd from 5:30PM - 9:00PM! The Lincoln Square BID has just announced that they will welcome back folk legend, Arlo Guthrie to lead the line-up and entertain the masses on the main stage at Dante Park (Broadway & 63rd Street) to kick off the holiday season and this highly anticipated night of entrainment.
