Tonight's Performance of CABARET Cancelled; Alan Cumming Falls Ill

BroadwayWorld has just learned that tonight's preview performance of Cabaret has been cancelled. Alan Cumming, who plays the Emcee, has fallen ill, and since the show is only in its first week of performances, Cumming's understudy hasn't been rehearsed. Performances are expected to resume tomorrow. Subscribers will receive a call to reschedule their tickets and single ticket holders may exchange their tickets from the original point of purchase.

Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON, which played a record-breaking three-week run in the spring of 2013, has announced a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins April 1, 2014 at the Boston Opera House and plays a limited four week engagement through April 27, 2014. In Boston, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available for $25 apiece.

IF/THEN, beginning previews March 5 and officially opening on March 30, will have a day-of-performance ticket lottery at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). Entry to the lottery will begin two hours prior to each performance and the winners will be announced 90mins prior to curtain. The seats will be priced at the special rate of $35 each, limit two tickets per person. Winners must be present at the time of drawing and valid ID must be shown to purchase tickets. Cash only. The concert, billed as 'Totally Hot and a Little Dirty,' raised $140,355.
