A Little New Music will bring its entertaining showcase of emerging musical theatre talents to The Sorting Room's 2018 Summer Sessions at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m.  A Little New Music's audiences will discover brand new musical theatre songs firsthand before they land on Broadway or beyond.

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to present the world premiere of EDUCATION, written by Brian Dykstra and directed Margarett Perry. Produced by Sanguine Theatre Company, EDUCATION begins performances on Friday, March 9 for a limited engagement through Sunday, April 8. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Friday at 7:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM & 7:15 PM; Sunday at 2:15 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Hailed by The New York Times as 'piercingly funny and bruisingly sad,' Stephen Karam's singular new play makes its St. Louis premiere at The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, February 7 March 4. The Rep's Augustin Family Artistic Director Steven Woolf will direct.

Composer Ray Leslee (Standup Shakespeare, Avenue X) and playwright, actor, HBO Def Poet, Brian Dykstra, have teamed up with Musical Director Kimberly Grigsby (Amelie, Spiderman, Spring Awakening) to present a workshop presentation of a new musical based on the comedy by Moliere. The script-in-hand readings will take place Thursday Nov 16th at The Lark Play Development Center and Friday, November 17th at Manhattan Theatre Club Studios. The presentation will be directed by Margarett Perry.

Kitchen Theatre Company Raises Over $190,000 to 'Burn the Mortgage'

Kitchen Theatre Company's Board of Directors honored retiring Artistic Director Rachel Lampert with an appropriately theatrical ceremony in which the building's mortgage was 'burned.' In attendance were community members and representatives of organizations who donated to the over $190,000 Burn the Mortgage campaign.
