The BBC and SCIENCE are co-producing a new factual drama starring award-winning actor William Hurt ('Altered States', 'Kiss of the Spider Woman', 'Children of a Lesser God', 'History of Violence', 'Into the Wild', 'Too Big To Fail'). Hurt will play the brilliant U.S. physicist Richard Feynman, who was instrumental in uncovering the truth behind the space shuttle Challenger disaster of 1986.

Culture Project presents the 10th anniversary production of the hit, award-winning play, The Exonerated, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, presented in special association with The Innocence Project. John Douglas Thompson will make his Long Wharf Theatre debut in Satchmo at the Waldorf, by Terry Teachout, directed by Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein. According to Entertainment Weekly, Stockard Channing will play Julianna Marguiles' character Alicia's 'mercurial' mother in CBS's The Good Wife, season four. Channing will appear in at least one episode.

Heather Hitchens, Executive Director of the American Theatre Wing, has announced that the Wing's 2012 Gala, held Monday, September 24 at The Plaza Hotel, was the most successful in the organization's history, raising just shy of $600,000.

Last night, a slew of celebrity guests were on hand for The American Theatre Wing's Annual Gala, which celebrated its 95th Anniversary of service to the American theatre by honoring the Redgrave Family for its outstanding work and invaluable contributions to the theatrical community.

It's not unusual for theatergoers at 45 Bleecker Street to see cheery 8x10 photos of the actors they're about to see displayed in the lobby, but those attending Culture Project's 10th Anniversary production of The Exonerated are greeted by more somber headshots.  Mounted before them are thirteen portraits by painter Daniel Bolick.  Titled The Innocence Portraits, they are the faces of people who spent 10… 18… as much as 27-and-a-half years in prison – a combined 71 years on death row – for crimes that DNA and other evidence eventually proved they did not commit.
