Queens Theatre & Parallel Exit to Present EXIT STAGE LEFT, 12/27-29

Queens Theatre (QT), in conjunction with two-time Drama Desk Nominee Parallel Exit, presents EXIT STAGE LEFT, a rollicking speed-of-light comedy. EXIT STAGE LEFT will play six performances only at Queens Theatre (14 United Nations Avenue South, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, NY 11368). Performances are December 27th through December 29th at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are $25 and a Family 4-pack $80 (use code FAM4 at checkout) are available online at www.queenstheatre.org/exit-stage-left or by calling 718-760-0064. UnsungMusicalsCo. presents the new Off-Broadway production of the 1950 musical revue Bless You All! with sketches by Emmy Award winner Arnold Auerbach ('The Phil Silvers Show,' Call Me Mister) and a score by acclaimed songwriter Harold Rome (Fanny, Destry Rides Again). Emilee Dupre (Venice, Chaplin), Jacob Hoffman (I'll Be Damned), Aaron Kaburick (Billy Elliot), Brent McBeth (White Christmas),Christopher Ryan (Young Frankenstein) and Clifton Samuels (Follies) join Jeremy Benton (Anything Goes), Jennifer Lee Crowl (Young Frankenstein), Ruth Pferdehirt (Finding Nemo: The Musical), Lindsay Roberts (Memphis) and Billie Wildrick (Scandalous) in the cast. Directed by UMC artistic director Ben West (The Fig Leaves Are Falling, At Home Abroad), the limited three-week engagement will run now through Oct 5 at The Connelly Theatre (220 East 4th Street). The annals of music theatre are dotted with plenty of amazing and award winning shows. Shows that have become classics, and part of the 'Golden Age' of music theatre. Thoroughly Modern Millie may be a recent Broadway hit, but this masterpiece deserves it's place alongside the classics of American musical theatre, and the cast of Millie at the Ogunquit Playhouse deserves more than a mere footnote in this show's history. Review - Lend Me A Tenor & The Broadway Musicals of 1937

If the Broadway revival of a few years back demonstrated the deadly results that can occur when overthinking and underplaying a quality farce, the new Paper Mill mounting is a fast a furious example of Ken Ludwig's madcap Lend Me A Tenor done right.  Director Don Stephenson doesn't throw any fancy curveballs with the material, but he and his perfectly cast company of Broadway vets nail every door slam and verbal ping-pong volley with hilarious aplomb.
