Jasper in Deadland is the final concert of RSO FEST, a series of concerts showcasing the scores of three new musicals by composer Ryan Scott Oliver. RSO FEST launched October 7th with 35mm: A Musical Exhibition (produced in association with Tony Award winning producer John Johnson), followed by Darling on Monday November 4 (produced in association with Grammy Award winning Sh-k-boom records and Kurt Deutsch).

RSO FEST will launch at New York's premier Supper Club, 54 Below (254 West 54th Street, NYC), today, October 7 with the 35mm: A Musical Exhibition (produced in association with Tony Award-winning producer John Johnson), followed by Darling (produced in association with Grammy Award-winner Kurt Deutsch and Sh-k-boom) today, November 4, and then Jasper In Deadland (produced in association with Prospect Theater Company) completing the trilogy today November 18.

THE HINTERLANDS, a free musical web series about teenage gay bullying, officially launched on October 28, 2013 at a special event held at The New 42nd Street Studios. At the event, special guest speaker James Clementi of The Tyler Clementi Foundation shared some touching words about his younger brother Tyler and underscored the importance of being a light for young people who were struggling with thoughts of suicide. Connor Russell (Disney's Aladdin world premiere), star of THE HINTERLANDS, performed "Like It Here," a song from the fifth episode of the series. Katie Thompson (GIANT), backed by 13 students from the Professional Performing Arts School in Midtown, sang "Worthy," which will be part of the sixth episode of THE HINTERLANDS. Broadway veterans Erin Dilly and John Bolton star in a new musical webseries about growing up gay in the middle of nowhere, titled- 'The Hinterlands.' Brandon Ivie (A Christmas Story) directs the series, which is led by Connor Russel as 'Paul.' BroadwayWorld brings you the first episode below!

A free musical web series about teenage gay bullying, THE HINTERLANDS, was conceived by the writing team of Michelle Elliott and Danny Larsen (Cloaked, The Yellow Wood). Created as a response to the flood of suicides by bullied LGBTQ youth, THE HINTERLANDS will be available online beginning October 28, 2013.

Produced by Lina Renzina, directed by Brandon Ivie, with musical direction by Benjamin M. Rauhala, Moment by Moment is a collection of musical theatre short stories comprised of songs by Alexander Sage Oyen about love, cults and McDonalds.

High school students from across Washington state packed The 5th Avenue Theatre tonight for The 11th Annual 5th Avenue Awards Honoring High School Musical Theater, a high school version of the Tony Awards proudly presented by Wells Fargo. The house was packed with 2,200 teenagers, dressed in costume representing their schools' musical theater productions, who cheered for their peers as they performed musical excerpts and accepted awards honoring top student achievements in musical theater. The acclaimed event, directed this year by Kat Rambsurg, handed out awards in 21 categories ranging from Outstanding Overall Musical Production to Outstanding Lobby Display.

The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced the nominees for its eleventh annual 5th Avenue Awards Honoring High School Musical Theater. A version of the Tony Awards for high school theater programs, The 5th Avenue Awards allow musical theater students from across Washington state to meet, celebrate, and honor the exceptional musical theater productions presented during the 2012/13 school year. These awards are designed to shine the spotlight on high school musical theater programs, offering performing arts students the kind of support and recognition that accomplished high school athletes have received for decades. The 5th Avenue Awards will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 11, at The 5th Avenue Theatre.

Tonight, May 12, composer/lyricist Michael Mott will present an evening of original work, sung by some of Broadway's best and brightest talents in 'Write Now: The Music of Michael Mott.' In addition to Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, NBC's 'Smash'), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), and Ashley Spencer (Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Rock of Ages), Michael will be joined by Michael Hunsaker (Faustus), Marissa McGowan (A Little Night Music, Bonnie & Clyde), Jacqueline Petroccia (Lincoln Center's Carousel).
