Though it may not be nine o'clock on a Saturday quite yet, the Piano Man is having his say - and hearing his songs - on this week's episode of FOX's musical dramedy series GLEE, with a highly anticipated Billy Joel tribute show.

On the next episode of FOX's GLEE titled 'Movin' Out' - The New Directions pay homage to the Piano Man himself, Billy Joel. As graduation looms closer, the seniors make plans for their futures beyond the halls of McKinley.

A parental advisory warning preceded this week's GLEE and it went the distance in justifying it via spicy and sexy takes on twerking, 'Blurred Lines' and other pop culture quirks - tattoos included. But, as always, GLEE puts the 'werk' in twerk.

Guys, you know I've been thinking - you know what Glee needs more of? Continuity, Klaine, and Katy Perry are all great things to say, but you know what Glee REALLY needs more of? TWERKING! Come on, just what we all want to see is our Gleeks twerk the night away. ..I know, I know - I'm a genius. Well, apparently Ryan Murphy and crew have heard my genius idea, and are giving us what we ALL want to see. Tonight, it's a twerking good time, Gleeks - and you ain't even ready. Twerking has taken control of the McKinley hallways, and New Directions is getting themselves set up to twerk the competition away with some twerking tutorials for those who lack the twerking ability. Rachel makes a change and cuts her hair, which does not sit well with her director, but despite the hair cut, Rachel kills it in the rehearsal room with her co-star singing 'You Are Woman, I Am Man'. After the number, the director is knocked out by how the hair cut enhances Rachel's performance. Score one for Ms. Berry! A bathroom revolution breaks out at McKinley thanks to Unique, while Rachel reveals her new do is a wig, and challenges Kurt to break out of his mundane routine and live a little. Who knew La Berry was such a rebel rouser? Kurt gives into Rachel's probing and they decide to break out the alcohol and let loose. Oh boy, another Berry Trainwreck Extravaganza?

The Ultimate Doo Wop Show returns to The Beacon Theatre on Saturday, June 14, 2014 for its Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame Spectacular, presented by Canterbury Productions & Star Productions. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 15, 2013 at 10:00AM.

Now in its 16th season, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook will continue to expand its scope celebrating the best in American singing and songwriting. New this year, the opening night concert will befree, in the David Rubenstein Atrium, on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. 'Live From Lincoln Center,' the Emmy Award-winning program broadcast nationally on PBS stations, will shoot four of the first week's American Songbook concerts in The Allen Room: by James Naughton, Lawrence Brownlee, Jason Isbell, and Patina Miller. These performances will be broadcast nationally beginning in Spring 2014. In addition, American Songbook concerts taking place in the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center will be live-streamed via http://watch.lincolncenter.org.

While it was billed as a presentation celebrating the release of his 13-song CD, Tales From the Bonus Round, and his 60th birthday, Steven Schalchlin's recent show at the Metropolitan Room was so much more than that. It was also one about fear, fortitude, anxiety, anguish, compassion, courage, and love, all expressed in poetic and often clever lyrics and melodies ranging from uplifting gospel to Billy Joel-sounding mid-tempo pop to sensitive ballads, many colored with musical theater undertones. At their core, most of the songs conveyed what Schalchlin has thought, felt and experienced since early 1993, when he was diagnosed with AIDS, launched one of the first internet diaries/blogs (in early 1996), stared death in the face on a daily basis, took an experimental AIDS drug (Crixivan), and ultimately regained his health and career. When you listen to his songs, it's not hard to believe Schalchlin when he claims that during those scary days writing music and the “healing properties of piano vibrations” also helped save his life, and the 17 years since are what he calls his “Bonus Round.”

Iconic rock pianist and celebrated performing artist Billy Joel will make his triumphant return to New York City to play his first solo concert in seven years when he rings in the New Year at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Tickets for the Billy Joel Brooklyn show go on sale this Saturday. A native New Yorker, born in the Bronx and raised in Long Island with grandparents in Flatbush, Joel has celebrated the Empire State in several of his classic songs including 'New York State of Mind,' 'Scenes from an Italian Restaurant,' 'The Downeaster Alexa' and 'Uptown Girl.' Joel is also one of New York's most decorated performers with 23 Grammy nominations, six Grammy awards and membership in both the Songwriter's and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame.
