The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival, the annual festival that honors legendary novelist Philip K. Dick through the dynamic power of science fiction film, is returning for its seventh outing with a full schedule of events. The festival screens on Thursday, March 7th in Astoria, Queens and on Saturday, March 9th in Midtown Manhattan.

For the first time since its inception, the festival will hold a bi-coastal gathering presenting a lineup of films, premieres and panels for audiences in New York City, Los Angeles and Santa Ana, CA. The ambitious endeavor will provide a platform for independent filmmakers who tackle a variety of themes that empower the narratives of Philip K. Dick, whose work continues to serve as a profound mark on the literary and entertainment worlds.

Demented Punk serves up a heaping platter of FISH HEADS in the all-new, fully animated music video from the #1 Billboard charting, punk-rock comedy hybrid, DR. DEMENTO COVERED IN PUNK. The album features an eclectic roster of classic and contemporary punk/indie/alt-rock artists, plus special guest stars from film, TV and more. The audio oddity is a modern-day homage to radio icon Dr. Demento, the world-renowned DJ who has championed novelty music and its creators since the 1970s. The 64-track collection features newly recorded 'punk' makeovers of the bizarre novelty songs famously heard on the airwaves of the Doctor's infamous radio show, as well as some 'demented' renderings of punk-rock classics. CBC and SundanceTV today announced casting for the dramatic eight-part miniseries UNSPEAKABLE, which chronicles the tainted blood scandal beginning in the 1980's. Acclaimed actors Sarah Wayne Callies (Colony, The Walking Dead), Shawn Doyle (Bellevue, Big Love), Michael Shanks (Stargate SG-1, Saving Hope) and Camille Sullivan (The Disappearance, The Man in the High Castle) will lead the series. The Houston Symphony and Music Director Andr s Orozco-Estrada announced today details of the 2018-19 season, which marks Orozco-Estrada's fifth year as music director.
