RIALTO CHATTER: Walker Dropped from 'X-Men' Flick?

Actor Benjamin Walker, star of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, has been dropped from his role as Beast in 'X-Men: First Class,' The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye reports. However, adds Bamigboye, Walker may be offered the role again, as screen tests for potential replacements have not yet been satisfactory.

A co-production with Center Theatre Group and in association with Les Freres Corbusier, BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON is written and directed by Alex Timbers and features music and lyrics by Michael Friedman. BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON began previews on March 23 and was originally scheduled to close on April 25.

Hamingson) announced that the critically acclaimed rock musical BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON will play its 100th performance on Saturday, June 19 at 9:30 p.m. By the time the show closes at the end of June, it will be the second highest grossing show in The Public Theater's downtown history.

Showbiz411 reports that Benjamin Walker, currently starring in Off-Broadway's BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, has been confirmed for Matthew Vaughn's upcoming 'X-Men' prequel, 'X-Men: First Class.' According to the report, Walker has been cast as Beast, a role played previously in the series by LA CAGE AUX FOLLES star Kelsey Grammer.
