The full cast is today announced for the return of Tim Cowbury's The Claim at Shoreditch Town Hall following its debut sell-out run in 2018. Mark Maughan directs Nick Blakeley (A), Tonderai Munyevu (Serge) and Indra Ové (B). The production opens on 20 February, with previews from 18 February and runs until 7 March.

Following on from the highly successful 2019 season, which was nominated for a total of 28 Green Room Awards, the 2020 Darebin Arts Speakeasy season features a program of premieres and performances bigger than ever before.

In addition to the previously announced world premières of Milky Peaks and For The Grace of You Go I, Tamara Harvey and Liam Evans-Ford, Artistic Director and Executive Director of Theatr Clwyd today announce further programming for their 2020 season, which will include a major revival of Steve Waters' The Contingency Plan a?" in a co-production with the Donmar Warehouse, the world première of Project Hush, and Beauty and the Beast, the company's twenty-third annual rock 'n' roll pantomime, which sees Harvey make her pantomime directorial debut. After the sensational success of its first iteration, LET'S TAKE OVER, is back for another year! LET'S TAKE OVER gives 10 talented young people, aged between 16 and 25, the opportunity and the skills to take over the entire Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre building for a one night only arts festival on Saturday 22 February.

Artistic Director Kumiko Mendl celebrates 25 years of Yellow Earth Theatre; the company dedicated to developing and staging work by British East Asian* (BEA) theatre makers. Named after the seminal Chinese film of the same title, the company launched in 1995 to widen the type of roles being offered to BEA actors, writers, directors and designers, with the aim to create fresh and vibrant work that reflects the BEA experience.

Lambert Jackson Productions today announce the full cast for the workshop performance of Dylan Wynford's new musical The Throwaways. The performance will star Lizzie Bea (Commentator 2), Francesca Forristal (Peggy), Michael Hamway (Hitchcock), Sahera Khan (Charlie), Andrew Langtree (Danny), Siobhan O'Driscoll (Meghan), Lawrence Smith (Commentator 1), and Courtney Stapleton (Audrey). The workshop performance will take place at The Other Palace, Friday 31st January, 2pm.

Nottingham-born Dame Rosemary Squire has become the first patron to join the East Midlands touring theatre company New Perspectives. Known for touring cutting edge international work to venues ranging from theatres to rural village halls, New Perspectives have firmly established themselves over more than forty years as a leading force in the small-scale touring. Rosemary Squire's endorsement of New Perspectives comes swiftly after their highly successful staging of the hit Nigerian play The Fishermen in the West End.

Luca Silvestrini's Protein, one of Britain's most distinctive dance companies, has announced Simon Pitts, Commissioning Editor at BBC World Service, as the new Chair of its board. Simon, who has previously worked as an editor, producer and director in radio and television, is responsible for Arts, Music, Faith, Drama and Documentary programming at the broadcaster. He is also a prize-winning independent director of the films The Boy and the Bus and Ten Glorious Seconds.

ViSiBLE today announces the world première of Five Characters in Search of a Good Night's Sleep devised by Mike Alfreds and Sonja Linden with the Company, the latter who also directs. Inspired by the wealth of talent among Britain's older actors, ViSiBLE is a theatre company dedicated to creating work that throws fresh perspectives on later life and living longer. Terrible Wonderful Adaptations comes to the Battersea Arts Centre this December for one night only to create some of the weirdest adaptations you've ever seen.

It was announced today that Northern Stage will showcase four North East companies in their first ever VAULT Festival Takeover next year. The Newcastle based theatre has chosen four companies representing a diverse range of up and coming talent from the region to showcase at London's biggest, boldest and wildest arts and entertainment festival.

The King's Head Theatre and Charles Court Opera are have announced the full cast for The Nativity Panto – A Not-So Silent Night, starring Emily Cairns, Meriel Cunningham, Jennie Jacobs, Matthew Kellett and Catrine Kirkman. The panto runs from 29 November 2019 to 11 January 2020, with a press night on Tuesday 3 December 2019.

Comedy trio Sleeping Trees bring Christmas to Battersea Arts Centre with their latest fairy-tale mash-up. After Cinderella and the Beanstalk and Scrooge and the Seven Dwarves, James Dunnell-Smith, Joshua George Smith, and John Woodburn venture into Wonderland in classic Sleeping Trees style. Goldilocks and the Three Musketeers is rambunctious and properly laugh-out-loud funny.

Sir James MacMillan's festival, The Cumnock Tryst, has won a prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society Award in the Concert Series and Events category! The prize was presented at an awards ceremony at London's Battersea Arts Centre last night and recognised the Tryst's success in shining a light on local musicians as equals to its international visiting artists.
