Currently in previews at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street) is Eugene O'Neill's ferocious American classic, The Iceman Cometh, starring Tony Award winner, two-time Academy Award winner, and 2018 Academy Award nominee Denzel Washington. Opening night is set for Thursday, April 26 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.

The second season of the hit fantasy series 'The Shannara Chronicles' premieres Wednesday, October 11 at 10pm ET/PT on Spike. The new season consists of 10 one-hour episodes. The first season of the original scripted drama, based on the best-selling fantasy book series by Terry Brooks, debuted on MTV in 2016. On Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 7:30pm, Works & Process at The Guggenheim presents a discussion with the creators and excerpts of Houston Grand Opera's upcoming world premiere of It's a Wonderful Life by composer Jake Heggie and librettist Gene Scheer.

Houston Grand Opera (HGO) will offer New Yorkers a preview performance of excerpts from a new opera based on the classic story and Frank Capra film It's a Wonderful Life on Sunday, November 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Guggenheim Museum, as part of the museum's Works & Process program. The evening will include a discussion with the composer/librettist team of Jake Heggie and Gene Scheer, moderated by HGO Artistic and Music Director Patrick Summers.

Mad Cow Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for the poignant musical The Secret Garden, with book and lyrics by Marsha Norman and music by Lucy Simon, based on the 1911 classic novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The Secret Garden will open Nov. 20, 2015 in the Harriett Theatre at Mad Cow Theatre in downtown Orlando.

Orson Bean (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Being John Malkovich, Desperate Housewives), Austin Butler (The Carrie Diaries, Aliens in the Attic, Ruby and the Rockits), David Clayton Rogers (Nashville, Mixology, Jane by Design), and Lyndon Smith (Parenthood upcoming The Forger with John Travolta) have been announced as the cast of Death of the Author, a world premiere by Pulitzer Prize nominated playwright, Steven Drukman, directed by Bart DeLorenzo, to be performed at the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse beginning May 28. DeLorenzo returns to the Geffen Playhouse after directing Coney Island Christmas, by Donald Margulies, in 2012. Previews begin May 20; opening night is May 28.

The stage vet, who recently appeared in The Public's world premiere of VENICE, is currently filming a guest role on The CW's SEX AND THE CITY prequel series THE CARRIE DIARIES, he confirmed today.
