CHICAGO (September 17, 2014) -The Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago presents a preview showing of Osiris and Isis, a new evening-length story-ballet choreographed by Chicagoan Ron De Jesus and performed by his namesake company, Ron De Jesus Dance, inspired by the ancient Egyptian myth of Osiris, the god who was murdered by his brother, Seth, and resurrected by his loving wife, Isis. The preview is presented one night only in the Yelda Khorsabad Court of the Oriental Institute, 1155 E. 58th Street in Hyde Park, Friday, October 17 at 7 pm. (more...)

Two internationally acclaimed productions receive their London premieres at the Young Vic in 2015. Bull, Mike Bartlett's dark workplace comedy will run 8 January - 7 February 2015. On Tuesday, September 23 through Saturday, September 27, Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre will present the world premiere of Ocean's Skin, in partnership with Topology Music, for free performances at the Brisbane Festival in South Brisbane, Australia. Ocean's Skin is the creation of Artistic Director/Choreographer, Heidi Duckler, based in Los Angeles, and Topology Music's Composer/Musical Director, John Babbage, based in Australia. This production runs through October 19, 2014, with Bryan Fonseca serving as director. The production will be a regional premiere, with the play having had its world premiere at Zoetic Stage in Miami earlier this year in the spring of 2014.
